"Onnii! But I don't want to go to school! I want to stay with you!" Koko cried hanging on my leg as I tried to get back into the car.
"It's just for a few hours, it will be good for you! You can make some new friends and have a fresh start. Mom and Dad would have wanted that!" I said with a sigh trying to pull her off of me.
"You'll be here the moment it ends right? Then it will be just us?" Koko said looking up at me, her blue eyes filled with tears. I picked her up wrapping my arms tight around her.
"I promise. Just you and me. You can do this, I know you can." I whispered in her ear, she gave me a big girl smile that didn't reach her eyes and let go.
"Hey, cheer up. You'll get to go to art class! And Orquestra, you haven't played your violin in ages," I said smoothing her black hair down.
"But what if someone finds out??" She said playing with her ears.
"Don't worry, it will last. If anyone finds out no one will believe them," I said with a smile. A loud bell chimed out signaling the beginning of the first day of school at Ouran Academy.
"Come on your gonna be late, remember to be here at 5 o'clock exactly!" I say shooing her to the front door. With a small wave she jogged into the giant pink palace. I grabbed my backpack from off the ground and flew across campus over to the Highschool building, my giant yellow skirt flapping behind me. What a good impression being late on my first day! Crap! It took me 5 minutes running to finally reach the right building. I made my way through to the Far East wing to my first call as fast as I could. I rounded to last corner to my destination and smacked right into someone. I fell to the floor hard right on my butt. I meowed in surprise at the fall forgetting myself. I looked up to see a strange handsome man leering over me.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" I said apologizing quickly. He stuck out his hand that I took happily and pulled me back up.
"It's fine, I don't think I've ever heard someone make cat noises when they fall before though," he said pulling up his glasses. I blushed at being caught.
"Ohh uhm I was just surprised and it slipped out," I said fixing me hair and checking that my ears were still rounded.
"I suppose that's my fault then, I'm Kyoya Ootori, you must be a new student," He said analytically. Slightly flustered I mumbled out my name.
"Yes, I'm Meu Onami." He nodded in recognition.
"Ahh I heard you were coming," he said writing something in a little black book. I stared at him confused.
"What, how would you know that..." My voice drifted off pretending to look over his arm and try to read what he was writing in that little black notebook. In reality I could tell from his hand movements without looking what he wrote. He slammed it shut and turned to me with a fake smile that I had made many times before.
"Do you need help finding your class room? Third years have English this period that's room 236, three doors down this hallway on the left hand side," he said pointing me in the right direction. I had a feeling I wouldn't get any other information out of him. I walked in the direction he pointed and got about a few feet before stopping and turning back around towards him.
"You messed up." I said simply. Confused he looked back at me.
"What did I mess up on Miss.Onami?" He asked a bit of his deminour broken.
"I'm 5'7 not 5'6 and I'm most certainly not ditsy," I said with a fake smile. He stared back unable to speak.
"Think again about what your doing next time before you write someone off in your little black book," I stated before going back on my way to class, leaving him behind me still unable to speak. Serves him right I thought opening the posh white door to my first class.
