Brother's best friend

Introduction

It's was Sunday afternoon and I'm watching friends with Harry, since Tom is filming, paddy is at a friends house and Sam is in uni, it's just me and Harry left but it's nice and quiet. That didn't sadly last long, paddy walked through the door "I'm home" he said a little to loud for my liking but he's adorable, so I let it slide. "So Harry do you know when Tom gets home?" I ask. I really miss him, I of course miss Sam too but he comes home every now and then, Tom has been gone for 8 months now. "I think he comes home in 2 weeks" Harry answers, "ohhh so he'll miss my 20th birthday?" I ask a little disappointed. "Yeah, I'm sorry but you can call ask him, I'm not sure when he said he would come home." Harry said trying to comfort me. "Yeah okay"

after a little while I went up to my room to call Tom, it didn't take long until he answered.

"Hey" I said

"Hello sis" he said really happy

"I was just wondering when you are comin-" he cut me off. 

" coming home..yeah. I'm flying home in 10 days."

"Oh." I didn't know what else to say.

" I know I'll miss your birthday but we can celebrate when I get home, I'm sorry y/n"

"It's fine. It's just that you were gone for my 18th birthday too so I just.. just forget it, it's alright.." it's not but I don't want him to feel guilty.

"It's not alright. I should be there, I'm your oldest brother I should be there for you"

"No tom it's alright, you're doing what you love and I don't what you to feel guilty for not being here" wanting to make the situation a little more fun..for me, I decided to annoy him. 

"And anyway I was thinking of celebrating with rick instead" I don't know anyone named Nick.

"Nick? Who's that?!"

"Uhh umm, my friend yeah friend"

"Y/n? I don't believe you. Who is Nick?!"

"he's my boyfriend" I say the last part like a whisper

"WHAT? You have a boyfriend?!! you know I like to meet the guy you're going out with before you do. Also I thought you said you don't want a boyfriend?"

"ohh erm, yeah no that was before I met Rick."

"I thought you said his name was Nick?"

"damn it, okay I don't have a boyfriend, I just wanted to annoy you"

"Ohh fuck you" he says laughing 

"I'm so funny I know"

"Sure if you say so" he sad with a hint of sarcasm

"I need to go y/n, I miss you sis"

"Yeah okay, I miss you too, bye "

"Bye"
