"i-i was born with out a ring. i don't have one. i don't have a ring. i don't have a soulmate", seokjin mumbled and grabbed his bag and ran away. taehyung stood still watching the boy retreat. the voice played over and over again in his head. "i don't have a soulmate. what does he mean. he does have a soulmate. only because he doesn't have this silly ring. that doesn't mean anything", taehyung said pulling his ring out and tossing it on to the ground. "i don't need this silly ring either" taehyung said and sprinted to the school bust stop, hoping he would meet seokjin. unfortunately the bus had already left. taehyung was disappointed. he walked back to the music room to check if jimin was alright. he peeped in to find jungkook tending to jimin's wounds. taehyung smiled and turned around.
in the beginning, he didn't like jungkook. he didn't want to share his bestfriend with someone else. but today he admired jungkook. he was calm, gentle and caring. he was a perfect match form jimin. taehyung walked back to the art class and then intended to walk back home but a figure blocked his way. "jungkook", taehyung muttered looking at the boy who stood in between him and his bag.
jungkook nodded, "i-i overheard your conversation with seokjinnie", the boy said. taehyung bit his lip, dismayed that jungkook had chosen to disrespect seokjin. jungkook continued, "i know the way you look at him. you are slowly falling in love with him. just don't promise him anything you can't give him", jungkook said with guilt. "he doesn't deserve pain", the boy said stepping aside. " also he loves it when someone cooks for him", he added before leaving. taehyung observed jungkook walk to jimin and ruffle his hair. "tae, do you want me to drop you home", jimin asked as he tried to move jungkook's hand away from his hair. taehyung looked at jimin, "i think, i will be okay. you two have fun", he said with a wink and walked away.
that night taehyung probed through the internet. taehyung spend the night trying to perfect his kimchi.he made sure that all the spices were in the perfect ratio. the boy who barely knew how to boil potatoes created a plate of kimchi. he was definitely in love.
