taehyung relaxes as namjoon's  warm hands caress his cold fingers. "i don't know if it is too early to say this and i don't know if you are ready to accept this but i have waited too long", namjoon speaks. taehyung looks into his eyes encouraging him to continue speaking. "are you ready to accept your ring back", namjoon asked. taehyung was aware that there were too many things the boys did not discuss. although namjoon had made it clear there was no scope for romantic love between the two taehyung was aware that just the word soulmate carried a lot of weight. although neither of them mentioned it. taehyung's relation with seokjin could be altered conspicuously. but taehyung  knew that he had to accept it. "i am ready, joonie", taehyung chirped spreading his fingers out in the air. namjoon smiled sincerely and slid the ring back to taehyung's finger. taehyung picked namjoon's ring and slid it across namjoon's finger. a slow clap caught the attention of the soulmates.

"congratulations", the voice hushed. "hyung- it is not what it appears to be", namjoon speaks quickly. "peanut butter-", taehyung approaches the purple haired boy cautiously. "i am really trying not to assume anything but anyone that witnesses their boyfriend just exchange rings with their best friend would be angry and disappointed. no actually they would be disgusted. no. heartbroken", seokjin speaks in a rather calm manner. taehyung nodded, "i know, but listen to me. okay we will tell you everything. you just have to patient", taehyung speaks and namjoon nodded, "i promise you hyung- taehyung and i. we are just friends. actually no. we are not. we are not just friends. but taehyung is still yours-", namjoon mumbles.

seokjin nodded and sat down next to taehyung. he did not want to walk away without understanding the complete story. he isn't the same boy, he was two years ago. he is ready to fight for his jelly if he has to. namjoon began reciting the story but taehyung soon took over due to excessive stuttering and fumbling. seokjin was surprised, to say the least. he expected something along the lines of, "it is just a promise ring" or "are you open to a poly amorous relationship" but he did not even once consider that the two were soulmate. how would seokjin be able to compete with namjoon. he is handsome, cute, intelligent, understanding, caring and most importantly taehyung's soulmate. "are you even listening-", taehyung questioned. seokjin nodded  "you are both soulmates and we can still be friends but ultimately it has to be namjoon no matter how much you try so you think it is wise to break up before more feelings get involved", seokjin rambled. "so you aren't listening", taehyung confirmed.

seokjin raised his eyebrows. taehyung placed his hands over seokjin's hands. "namjoon and i are special. we are a special soulmate- we are not bound to fall in love with one another", taehyung explained. seokjin furrowed his eyebrows, "you are just saying this because you still love me. i know you don't believe is soulmates but trust me you'll fall in love with him soon. it is better we part ways before it becomes harder", seokjin speaks with tears in his eyes. "yah- what part of we will never have romantic feelings for each other do you not understand", taehyung said loudly. seokjin stayed still. namjoon pulls his ring out and places it on the table, "hyung- look at our rings. my aunt is a professional. if you want we can meet her. you'll understand about it. taehyung isn't just making this up. please give me a chance", namjoon pleads. "okay. i want to meet your aunt", seokjin says quickly.
