the rehearsals that day were calm. namjoon informed the boys that seokjin wouldn't attend practice as he wasn't feeling good and jungkook said that jimin went home early too. the rehearsals were short because namjoon feared that jimin and seokjin wouldn't be able to catch up. as soon as rehearsal came to an end taehyung visited the library borrowing a few books and magazines.

taehyung realized that both yoongi and jungkook's opinions were based on their own personal experience. he also realized that he would need to consult someone with an unbiased opinion. the only person who he could talk to was jimin but taehyung was aware that jimin would tell him no different than yoongi and jungkook. he wished his eomma was here so she could pat his back and put him to sleep but she wasn't home either. so taehyung did the same thing every child in the modern age does, he turned to the internet and magazine articles for advice. this was not hard at all, there were millions and millions of article written on the topic. there were many famous korean authors who did not believe in the concept of soulmates and there were just as many who changed their minds when they shared that intimate kiss with their soulmate. taehyung read one such article.

spent my twenty one years of my life criticizing the concept of the ring. how could someone fall in love with a person based on the inscriptions on a piece of metal. the ring was only responsible for making people believe that they have found their soulmate, someone they are destined to be with. it was the concept of intertwined fate that made people fall in love with their soulmate. it was the thrill that came with hearing the words you have been reading for years from someone else. i might have been right but my idea was flawed. the ring might be capable of making you fall in love with your soulmate but it is the bond that doesn't let you fall out of love with your soulmate.

this dawned upon me on my twenty first birthday, the day i met my soulmate. we did not utter a word to each other (he was mute) but we slowly began to fall in love with each other. we did not talk to to each other but we enjoyed each others presence. it was the day i confessed my love we realized that we were soulmates. the words inscribed on his ring ('i love you') were the the token of our love but they were definitely not the reason we fell in love. the concept of soulmates may or may not exist, i can not make a statement but i can tell you that love does exist.

taehyung read the article with a few tears in his eyes. he closed the magazine and placed it carefully inside his bag. he stared outside the window, the stars were already twinkling. taehyung decided to sleep. he need to get some rest.
