In the forest that bordered Xavier's kingdom, Lilith appeared in a puff of dark red smoke. After puffing a lock of red hair out of her eyes, she looked around the dark forest. Siel was not the only angel who operated in the kingdom. This one was a longtime ally of Lilith and he was calling for her...and nowhere to be seen.
"Don't call me and not show up, jerk." She muttered, irritably.
"I have to remain invisible when I'm this far in vampire lands." Came a gruff voice.
"No one's around here, you paranoid fart." Lilith said, still annoyed, "You can show yourself."
"You've always been an impatient witch." There was a shimmer next to a tree and a figure appeared. Standing there was a well-muscled man with tanned skin, short blonde hair, blue eyes, a scar on his brow, and a scruffy beard.
Lilith knew who this was--Domiel, the guardian angel of the seventh heaven and the one in charge of training new guardians. Out of all the angels she encountered, he was one of the most difficult to work with...and yet, she kept coming back to him. At his reappearance, she felt her mood lighten considerably.
"Don't be like that, Domiel. You love that about me. Like how I find your irritable paranoia charming." Lilith teased, playfully, as she walked away.
"You know what this is about." Domiel commented as he followed her.
"Have you found anything then?" The witch asked.
"Bits, but nothing that leads anywhere just yet."
Lilith looked back at Domiel while saying, concerned, "I talked to Xavier. They almost got Aliyah with the same curse."
"And I saw Boegarian's back." Domiel commented, "Pity. I was getting used to the quiet."
"He can be useful...when he wants to be. I have him keeping an eye on things." Lilith then stopped, "Xavier told me something interesting about how they broke the curse this time."
"Really?" Domiel asked, barely interested.
She turned to look at the lead guardian, "Angel blood."
"Would've been useful to know that earlier." Domiel said, "You didn't immediately come forward, so I'm guessing you didn't know before that."
"No, I didn't. Apparently it was Boogey's idea. Siel gave her his blood...and the curse was broken." Lilith said before walking again, "And she didn't lose control when she drank it."
"I'd say it's because an angel's blood is significantly different from a mortal's." Domiel commented, "So, of course it would make a different reaction."
"That's what I thought." Lilith said. WIth a wave of her hand, Celestia's pendant appeared, "Also, Aliyah got the curse by falling in the lake. Because she found this."
"I'd say someone's using this as a conduit for the curse." Domiel said, taking the pendent and examining it over.
"That's what I-" Lilith then stopped and looked around, confused, "Dome, we searched this whole forest, right? I've never been to this part of the forest."
"I guess this is a new place to search." Domiel said, summoning his staff, which was tipped with a five-pointed star.
"I think I hear...humming?" Lilith said, perplexed. She slowly pointed ahead, "I hear it coming from...that way." Domiel grunted before waving his staff, releasing a golden aura. Lilith looked back at the guardian angel, "What are you doing?"
"Testing the theory. Detection Aura." Domiel said.
Lilith nodded, "Is it finding anything?"
