Chapter 1

Just a fair warning, this is my first story, and won't have consistent writing. But it most likely will be often. And the first chapter starts below. Enjoy!

Remus POV:

After the intrusive thoughts episode, I wandered back to the dark sides part of the mindscape. I was disappointed with the way it went. And after the way I was put down like that, I felt discouraged. But of course, I would never tell them that.

Just before I stepped into my room, I heard my name being called behind me. I put on my usual fake smile and turned to see Deceit.
"Hey Dee!" I said and tackled him into a hug.
"Hello Remus." He replies getting back up. "The light sides are inviting us over for dinner and a movie night tomorrow. Would you be willing to go?" He asked. I remembered what had just happened earlier that day. But nevertheless told him I would go.
"Great." He smiled at me "I'll let them know." He said and walked away from me.

My smile dropped as I stepped inside my dark green room. I went into my bathroom (they each have a bathroom connected to their rooms) and looked at my cabinet. I slowly opened it and took out a pocket knife. I rolled up my sleeve, and took a deep breath.

Deceit POV:

After I asked Remus about the light sides, I headed back to my room to take a shower and get ready for bed. As I drifted off to sleep my mind wandered to Remus. Did he seem upset about something? I got some kind of vibe that he was lying when he said he would be happy to. I wonder what happened when he showed himself to Thomas... Why am I thinking about this?!?! It's none of my business anyway. Whatever. Maybe I'll ask him about it tomorrow.

I checked the time. 1:48 am. I couldn't sleep. I had this aching feeling in my gut that wouldn't go away. I decided to get a snack while I wait for myself to get tired.

As I took my last step down the stairs, I heard a noise. I took a peek in the kitchen to see what it was.
"Dee?" I heard the soft voice of Remus saying my name. I realized we had locked eyes for a few seconds and slightly blushed.
"What are you doing up?" He said checking the time "It's really early."
"I should be asking you that." I responded.
"I had a nightmare" he told me.
"About what?"
"None of your business."
I was a bit taken back by his response. He would usually tell me everything. I thought for a moment.
"Would you like to talk about it?" I asked.
"No..." I heard his voice crack. He sounded like he was about to cry. And he looked away from me. I went up to him and made him face me.
"Remus, you know you can tell me anything, right?" He burst into tears and pulled me into a hug. A wrapped my arms around his torso and let him cry into my shoulder.
"C'mon." I told him "let's get you back to sleep." And he nodded into my chest.

He laid down on his bed and I turned to leave the room.
"Dee?" I heard behind me.
"Yes Remus?"
"Thank you."
I smiled at him and left the room quietly closing the door behind me. I wondered about what he had dreamt about as I crawled into my own bed. Hopefully he'll be better tomorrow.
