Janus POV:
I sat there, lost in thought. Something was telling me I could've stopped him. Something was telling me that it was my fault. So I sat there for god knows how long.
But when sunset came, I heard them again. I stood up to climb back in the tree, but someone grabbed my arm. A soft gasp escaped my lips. I spun around and was met with... Roman.
"Let me go." I said in the most angr y tone I could muster.
"Not a chance." He replied, tightening his grip.
"Why not? You hate me don't you."
"Remus is falling apart. So you're coming back with me."
"Ha! As if." Just then, he yelled out.
"I FOUND HIM!"
Shit.Remus POV:
When Roman shouted his discovery. I felt myself tear up. When we got back to the dark sides house, I hugged him. I was unable to let go. I didn't want to let go.
"Why did you leave me?" I asked him. We were now sitting in his room, on his bed next to each other. He averted his gaze from my eyes and looked down at the floor.
"I thought it was my fault..." he said. I missed his soft voice.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"When you... hurt yourself. I thought it was my fault because I should've realized and done something." I saw tears form in his eyes. "And besides, all I do is hurt Thomas, and none of the light sided like me anyway." He finished.
"Dee, don't say that. You matter so much, especially to me. You're my best friend and have been since the split." I grabbed his hands and looked him in the eye, which was extremely out of character for me, but I continued. "You don't realize how much you actually contribute to Thomas' well-being. You're self-preservation himself. You're not just deceit." By the time I was finished we both were blushing messes. And he was crying his eyes out. He let out a loud sob and sprung onto me, arms tightly wrapped around my torso as we were sitting.Janus POV:
After myself and Remus talked for a but longer, we realized how much time had actually passed.
"Well, I should probably go back to my room, night double D." Remus said, getting up from the bed to leave. But on some kind of instinct, I reached out to grab his wrist. He lookes back at me in surprise.
"Please stay." My voice was just above a whisper. And his face softened and he smiled. Not a smirk. Or a kind of smug look. A smile. And he nodded and lay down with me. Wrapping his arms around my smaller figure. And admittedly, I never wanted to let go.-a few weeks later-
3rd person POV:
Deceit walked into the dark sides living room, a smirk glued to his face.
"Hey Rem?" He said. Remus, who was sitting on the couch polishing his morningstar, turned to face the snake.
"What's up double Dee?"
"Thomas is doing a video, think I should drop in and... add a new perspective to things?" He said.
"Ha! I'll be watching to see how this one turns out!" He responded, a grin plastered on his face.-after 'You vs Yourself'-
The snake-like trait walked proudly into the living room, his intrusive friend standing in the middle of the room already waiting for him.
"Hey Rem." He greeted happily.
"Janus, huh?" Remus said, neither smile faltering. Janus nodded, walking towards the duke.
"How come you never told me?" He asked.
"I never liked the name," he admitted. "It's a terribly ugly name. Never liked it myself." The snake finished. Remus looked at him for a minute.
"Well, I think it's a lovely name." He said. Janus flashed a bright scarlett.
"T-thank you, Re-mus." He responded, flustered.
"As for Roman, I'll get him back eventually." Remus told him.
"There's um, really no need for that. You hungry?"Patton POV: (Were u expecting this?)
After the newest episode, I called everyone to the living room.
"Salutations, Patton." Logan greeted. "May I ask what this meeting was called for?" He said. I looked around the room. Everyone was here.
"Well everybody, we have a name reveal!" I exclaimed. Logan and Virgil seemes shocked. Roman rolled his eyes.
"D-deceit?" Virgil asked.
"Yep!"
"Would you mind sharing, Patton?" Logie asked me.
"Sure thing! So his name, totally different from what I had thought it might be, is Janus!"
"And emo nightmare thought his name was embarrassing." Roman scoffed. I frowned.
"Roman, that's not very nice." I told him. "I happen to think it's a very nice name. And I'm happy Janus trusted us enough to share it." I finished with a smile.*******************
I know it's a little bit shorter than most of the other chapters, but I promise the next one will be longer.

RomanceThe dark sides were always close, but Remus had never talked about how he really felt. Alone. Disturbing. And how he never was really happy with the way he was treated by Thomas and the others. Especially Roman.
