Picture is not mine. Warning, unsympathetic Roman, and may contain self harm.

Remus POV:

Dee and I stepped over the border to the light sides half of the mindscape. I looked around me to see the bright sun shining above and the sky was... Blue? I thought it looked nice, and kept admiring the new space around me.

We got to the light sides house and Deceit rang the doorbell. It was opened by none other than Patton himself. As soon as he saw us he grinned brighter than the sun that shone above us.
"Hey kiddos!" He said, the exitment obvious in his voice. "Come on in!".

Dee thanked him and as soon as we got inside, the both of us earned glares from Virgil and Roman.
"Patton, is this the surprise you had mentioned earlier?" Roman questioned, not taking his eyes off me the entire time. It was kind of scary, the way he was staring at me.
"Yeah!" Patton replied, "I wanted us all to get to know each other since these two are going to be in some of Thomas's videos now." His smile never faltering.
"You could have warned us." Virgil said. The tension was real. It felt like the two were going to attack us at any minute. I slowly crept my way behind Dee, latching on to his arm from behind.

Logan must have noticed my small fear, seeing as he told Virgil and Roman that he was in on it, and it was okay. Virgil seemed to be less aggressive towards us from then on. Roman was not.
"Come and sit down everyone, dinner's ready." Came the always cheery voice of Patton.

Once everyone was seated, Patton put plates in front of us. It was chicken and vegetables. To me, it looked great, but Roman had to say something.
"Are you sure Remus eats any normal food?" He shot a glare my way when he said 'normal'. Deceit frowned and glared at him. But before Patton could tell Roman to be nice, Dee spoke up.
"Yes, he does." It was just those words, firm and defensive. I felt a little better and smiled weakly at him. A smile he returned.

Patton tried to make conversation with everyone, to ease tension. And we mostly talked about what each other's lives and interests were. Even Deceit talked a bit about his. But I stayed silent and ate, my eyes not leaving the plate.
"What about you, Remus?" I looked up quick, and noticed it was Logan who had asked the question.
"W-what?" I cursed myself for studdering.
"What do you enjoy in your spare time?" He repeated the question.
"I-"
"Probably nothing cool." I had been cut off by Roman, who looked at me with a filthy sneer.
"Roman!" Patton scolded. "That wasn't very nice."
"So what?" Roman argued. "I'll bet all he does all day is eat deodarant and draw gory stuff." He finished, standing up mid-sentence and gesturing to me. The table sat there in silence as the two went back and forth.
"He doesn't do anything useful anyway! I'll bet Deceit doesn't even like him!" Roman yelled. Just then Deceit stood up to be level with Roman, who was still standing.
"I care very much for Remus, and I'll thank you to not act so rudely towards my best friend." He yelled. I wasn't sure if I had ever seen him so mad before, but he was loud. Roman stared at him before glaring back at me.
"It doesn't make him any less useless." He shot. Patton scolded him once more before he ran upstairs and I heard the door slam. I could feel tears well up in my eyes.
"I'm so sorry about him." Patton said.
"It's not your fault," Deceit told him reassuringly. "We should be going anyway." At this point I had tears running down my face, ruining my makeup.
"Come on Re". I heard Dee say getting up from the table and starting towards the door. Pretty much all eyes were on me at this point. I stood up, and followed Dee to the door.
"Thank you for inviting us over Patton, dinner was delicious." He said, and escorted me back to the border.

Deceit POV:

When Remus and I had gotten back home, I looked at him for a few seconds and felt sorry. I walked over and wrapped my arms around him. He seemed surprised at first, but quickly hugged back, and nuzzled hid head into the crook of my neck. After a little while, we pulled away and looked at each other.
"Why don't you go to bed now." I said.
"C-can you stay with me?" He asked shyly.
I was a bit taken back first, but nodded anyway. He seemed like he needed the company.

We changed into our pajamas and both climbed into his bed.

Sometime in the middle of the night I was woken up to him shivering. I couldn't help but feel bad and carefully wrapped my arms around him, pulling him close and calming him down.

It's been a long week for him.
