The next few days, Josh planned a meeting for everyone except for Tyler. It was there, that I was to tell Marli, Minxy and Josh why Tyler had fainted during the previous week.
We were going to meet by the fountain at lunch that Thursday. Tyler had detention during lunch that day, so he wasn't going to be there.
"Amber Miller!"
I gasped. Where had I been for the past ten minutes? I was supposed to be reviewing the chromatic scale for my warm-up in my vocal training class.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Williams. I-um... I..." I tried to think of a good excuse for zoning out, but found nothing.
"I see. I'll let you off with a warning." she looked back down at her role.
"Thank you." I whispered to myself.
"This time." Ms. Williams glared back at me.
I looked away quickly and began pulling out my notes.
I absolutely dreaded the thought of betraying one of my closest friends. Tyler made me promise not to tell anyone about what made him faint.
I loathed the thought of him losing trust in me. However, I knew that telling them could save his life.
