Dune, Webs, Hvitur, Asha, and Kestrel got up and walked toward the towering NightWing and Nautilus.

Kestrel was definitely glad she met Dune, Hvitur, and Asha. Kestrel respected them. But Webs? Kestrel didn't respect Webs because Webs was a coward and a traitor, everything Kestrel stood against.

Hvitur, Asha, and Dune had taught her that every dragon suffers and this war had only made it worse. Kestrel did want to change that.

"Follow," the NightWing ordered.

Nautilus and Webs followed right behind him. Kestrel looked at Asha, Hvitur, and Dune. They all gave her a hopeful look and she returned it. Then the group of dragons took off toward the sky after Webs and Nautilus.

After some flying through the pouring rain, they landed on the mountain. Kestrel was worried someone was following them the entire time because Morrowseer was they only one who could blend in. Then there was Hvitur, the next moon in the sky.

When they landed, Morrowseer growled, "'Bout time."

"Sir, we have two new guardians since your last visit. The SkyWing, Kestrel and the SandWing, Dune," Nautilus explained.

"Well, Kestrel and Dune, welcome to the Talons of Peace, not that I'm a member. I am only helping Nautilus with the prophecy. So, who is getting each egg?" Morrowseer asked.

"I can get the MudWing egg. My sister, Cattail, had a blood-red egg only a week ago," Asha claimed, looking sad.

"I know where to get the SandWing egg. I'll grab it and run to the mountain," Dune said.

"I got the SeaWing egg covered. My wife will help me," Webs stated, eyeing Kestrel.

Nautilus said, "Well, Morrowseer has our NightWing dragonet covered. So Hvitur or Kestrel need to grab the SkyWing egg. Hvitur?"

"No, I should do it," Kestrel growled before Hvitur opened his mouth. "I know the Sky Kingdom and I can sneak in."

"Okay--" Nautilus began.

"Um, no. The SkyWings will kill Kestrel and whichever egg she tries to escape with," Asha interrupted.

"She's right, I should do it. Besides, Avalanche already said she'll help me. I also have a few SkyWing allies," Hvitur claimed.

"But I'm a SkyWing," Kestrel snapped.

"I have inside information," Hvitur retorted.

"But--" Kestrel began.

Morrowseer growled, "Enough, the IceWing will get the SkyWing egg. He's been at the Talons much longer anyway."

Kestrel growled.

"Alright, everyone. Go home until the few weeks before the brightest night and then meet up at the Claws of Clouds Mountains with your egg. Kestrel and Hvitur, you may stay with us," Nautilus claimed. "Thank you all for making it for this meeting. We now have all five guardians."

Asha, Dune, and Webs took off in different directions. Kestrel was disappointed to see Asha and Dune go but if she had to share a cave with them and five dragonets, she was going to need this year to herself.

Morrowseer rumbled, "I must go. I will bring the egg to you, Nautilus."

"Yup, and Kestrel will take it to the mountain," Nautilus claimed. "She'll keep it safe. She is probably our most battle-ready dragon. Believe me when I say, the NightWing dragonet will be fine."

"It better be," Morrowseer growled.

With that, Morrowseer took off into the night sky and Nautilus turned around to face Kestrel and Hvitur.

"Morrowseer oversees everything we do," Nautilus explained to Kestrel. "We have an agreement between the Talons and the NightWings."

Kestrel was going to ask him what he meant but Hvitur shook his head, as if knowing what Kestrel was thinking.

Why were the NightWings involved with the Talons of Peace? What were their motives?

Kestrel decided to ignore it. It wasn't her problem.

What kind of dragon have I become?
