Fall into me

Back to reality.

After I had everything boxed up or in travel bags, my mom walked in my room. "There's something I want to tell you." She said. "Okay." I looked worried I knew it. "Your cheeks always went red when you got scared or nervous. But it turns out you get to stay one more day here. The loaders had a problem and well it can't be fixed today. We'll be staying in a hotel for the night. You can stay with Chandra, Tyler, or Daniel." She left.
My thoughts what more could go wrong? I walked down stairs after taking one last walk around the house. I went to the den. Nothing was moved yet. I took a seat, the last time I was in here we had a movie night. It was Ricky, Tyler, Chandra and Daniel. We stayed up all night, we made popcorn. Ricky and I would always mix in some type of chocolate or hot cheeto into the popcorn. Everyone could've killed us. I missed him a lot. We dated since my 8th grade of school, then we found out I was moving. Tyler walked in the den and sat down next to me. "I know you'll miss it, and I know you miss him but it's okay." He said. I put my head on his shoulder, Tyler was always there for me. Through every heart break, depression, fights with anyone. He was there. "Come on." He said. I got up, and followed him out to the car. We went back to Chandra's house. We sat around watching movies. Wishing I could be swimming, if only I was in Florida for this one reason. It was 7:45. I was ready for sleep, I told them I was heading to sleep until they ordered taco pizza. I always loved the weirdest things. Tyler loved it too! We ate until it was gone then went to sleep.

My phone started buzzing at 6:00.
Momma.
Oh. My. God. My mom called me to wake us up. I didn't even answer I sent her a text back and took a shower. Wasn't even going to dress up. Adidas shorts, socks and sandals and a light jacket. I was ready. I woke everyone else up. By 7:35 mom and dad was ready. We took moms vehicle and dads. I rode with mom while the guys rode with dad. I fell asleep, so did Chandra. We would be entering Florida in at least 6 or 7 hours. I brought my license so mom could take breaks. We got to the first rest area. I got out stretching while Chandra stumbled to the restroom. I made my way to a vending machine for a bottle of water. I got back in the car. I was driving. I kept up with dad and I did good except for getting road rage. I honked I yelled I cursed. We knocked out 4 hours. Three to go. I turned the radio on. T. Mills came on. Praise God. Time passed. We finally made it. The house was beautiful. I ran in and picked my room. I changed clothes, done hair and make up then walked back outside. When I walked back out mom handed me car keys. I got in the car and drove off with Chandra. We stopped at a Starbucks. I ordered while she went to the restroom. I got the drinks and sat down. Then a guy asked if he could sit I looked up from Instagram and about died. I jumped up and put my arms around him. I didn't let go for at least five minutes. It was Ricky. I didn't think I'd see him again. Chandra walked back out. "Don't hate me." She said. I looked at her confused. "You are an ass! Why didn't you ever tell me?" I yelled. "We all knew, you were just sad. And Ricky wanted to work things out. But I'll let you talk, give me the keys I'm going home." She said. Without thinking I handed her the keys. I trusted her. "I thought long and hard about coming here, I think I made the right choice. I missed you. I'm sorry." he said. I didn't know how to respond I was so happy. It was getting late. Ricky stood up, "I think I better get you home." He said. I stood up, we headed for the door. We stayed there for what seemed forever but we only stayed for three hours. We got in the car, I showed him where I lived. Surprisingly he wasn't too far away. "I live in the fourth house down the next block." He said with a smile. "That's awesome, you'll have to come over." I said. We sat there for a few minutes until Ricky spoke. "I really have missed you, let me take you out and show you around tomorrow." He offered. I accepted. I got out of the car. He walked with me to the door. He said he'd text me and gave me a hug. I walked in the house.

"How'd it go?" Chandra asked right when I walked in. "I hate you all for not telling me, but it was perfect." I said. I walked upstairs to my room. Everything was set up I just had to unpack. Ricky texted me.
Hey.
Hey. I'm about to unpack, so I may not text back as fast.
It's fine. Can I come over?

I asked my mom and dad if they cared and of course they didn't. I texted Ricky back and he was on his way over.
There was a knock on my door, I opened the door and there stood my mom with Ricky. They both were smiling. Mom handed me clothes hangers. Ricky walked in after mom left, he looked around. "Let me guess you picked it out?" He asked. "Of course." I said. He started helping me unpack. Chandra finally came up along with the guys. It was a great night. I went to get a few waters, on the way down I over heard mom and dads conversation.
James, we can't let him stay the night. I know he asked but still. We just got here let's not rush into things.
Well now Barb, I don't see why not. They just got reunited it's been a long four months she's been so depressed when's the last time she was genuinely happy?
I know, one night maybe next week.

I went to the kitchen and acted like I didn't hear a thing, I grabbed the water bottles and went back upstairs. I smiled at mom. She had a concerned look on her face which never really goes away.
"So I just over heard mom and dad talking about Ricky staying the night." I said. Everyone looked at me. "Yeah and?" Tyler said. "He may get to stay sometime next week!" I said. Everyone smiled. It was 10:30, Ricky had to leave I had almost everything unpacked thanks to them helping. I took a shower and got in bed. Ricky texted me.
Hey, I'm happy I got to see you. Can't wait for tomorrow. Goodnight. 😉
I didn't say anything back I turned my lamp off and went to bed.
