Chapter 19

the game

"What if-"

"Stop it" Jungkook interrupted you for the fifth time as you tried to speak. He sat in backseat of your car as you were driving Jimin and him to school. 

You had seemed so worried for today as it was the game between Myung and Yoongi. You had tried to settle this a different way but Myung wouldn't budge. It was almost the end of basketball season and they had settled to do it before school because we had a game after school. 

"He's going to be fine" Jimin reassured you as he sat in the passenger seat because he begged you for the aux cord the way to the car. You took a deep breath trying to calm your rapidly beating heart and parked into a parking spot near the entrance of the school. 

Ya'll headed inside the school building walking towards the gym as you were still trying to calm yourself down so you wouldn't seem so worried in front of Yoongi as  the other two were talking to themselves.

You saw Yoongi on one side of the gym while Myung was on the other both practicing. Yoongi was shooting as Myung had calmly been dribbling.  You didn't wanting to disturb either of them so instead of walking up to them you sat on the stands next to Jungkook and Jimin.

The rest of team were also invited to watch but only half of them showed up, as expected seeing as it was non necessary on a non practice day.

After a couple of minutes the game started with Myung starting with the ball. You knew Myung had an advantage over Yoongi as he was around three inches taller than him. But even with Yoongi height disadvantage he was still more skilled than his opponent. 

You kept telling yourself to not worry in front of Yoongi as it would distract him but you couldn't help but fiddle with your fingers ad your leg started to bounce up and down rapidly. Jimin saw how nervous you had seemed and rested his hand on top of yours not saying anything but wanting to silently comfort you. You let out a low heavy breath and stopped thanking Jimin quietly.

Taehyung had arrived ad greeted the rest with a small smile. He sat next to Jimin but made no sign of contact. 

Although Jimin did slightly comfort you, you yet again stated getting nervous as the points were now rising. 

In the middle of the game you saw that the score was 25-21, Yoongi being the latter score seemed to worry you. Before the second half  started you saw Myung had whispered Yoongi something that somehow triggered his energy as he now seemed to be in rage giving Myung a death glare.

You weren't able to hear what Myung had told him but you wanted to know because suddenly Yoongi started scoring more than the first half which surprised almost everyone in the room.

But for some reason didn't surprise you.

You just felt a bit more relieved knowing Myung might actually lose something. Never in his life has he genuinely lose something, if he did he would say he wasn't trying and was just being nice and fair. 

The game had finished and Yoongi had won. After the game was announced finished you ram down the stands in a quick pace and sprinted to Yoongi embracing him into a tight hug not planning to let go. 

"This is bull shit!" You heard Myung loudly exclaim a few feet away from y'all. You pulled from the hug and Yoongi quickly wrapped his arm around your waist protectively not watnign to fully let go. 

"It was a fair game" Yoongi said calmly. he gave him a slight glare with a serious tone stated "Just go"

Myung huffed and left in anger getting his bag and quickly leaving the gym. 

"I hope I never see him" you whispered turning back to Yoongi.

"Don't worry, you wont" he rested his forehead on yours before giving you a kiss on your temple before kissing you softly connecting the two pairs of lips. 

"We're still here" Tae coughed out getting slightly annoyed of the PDA. 

"Don't act like-" you were about to start till Jimin quickly interrupted your sentence blurting out

"Lets go celebrate!"
