Chapter 4

the date

You and Jungkook both decided on going to the carnival at the end of the week and you had just finished getting ready with a simple outfit wearing a short sleeved black turtle neck tucked in with a denim skirt.

You didn't put much makeup except for some mascara and lip gloss not wanting to overdo your look. You had your natural hair out and brushed it a with bit your fingers not wanting it to be frizzy. You applied lotion and your favorite scented perfume.

You were finally done before the doorbell rang signalling that Jungkook was here to pick you up. You quickly in a rush put on some short black boots and a brown cloak since you knew it was going to get chilly later.

You opened the door to reveal Jungkook wearing a plain black t-shirt tucked in his denim jeans with a jean jacket. Once he saw you his face instantly brightened up a bit. He couldn't believe how beautiful you were and how lucky he was to have at least one date with you.

"You ready?" He asked placing his hand out for you to grab. You placed your hand on top of his hand and almost immediately intertwined fingers with him. You both had a small smile placed on your lips while walking to his car.

The ride going to the carnival was better than you thought it would be. You thought it was going to be an awkward and silent ride but instead y'all talked without having one moment of silence.

"What would you like to do first?" He asked once y'all had arrived. He grabbed your hand and squeezed it tightly.

"Let's play some games" you suggested pointing to a game were you had to pop the balloons to win a prize. He nodded and you two walked to the booth.

"What would you like?" He asked looking slightly down at you. You looked at the options spotting different stuffed animals until you found y/f/a (your favorite animal).

"That one please" you said pointing to it and he nodded asking the owner of the booth for the darts.

He was so focused on getting the balloons popped he forgot that you were right next to him watching him as he popped every balloon. You silently clapped as he popped each balloon. He won and the owner gave him the stuffed animal you requested.

He turned to you and gave you the stuffed animal, you took it from his grasp and held a big smile. You were filled with joy and excitement as you had it in your arms. You squeezed it tightly loving how soft it felt. You heard Jungkook chuckle next to you at how adorable you looked squeezing the stuffed toy.

"Your turn, pick what to do next" you said looking at him still holding y/f/a stuffed toy tightly. He looked around until he spotted a high striker.

"How about we test our strength"he asked slightly smirking pointing at the high striker. You groaned a bit but accepted his challenge.

"Here you go, try your best"the owner of the high sticker said handing you the hammer. You handed the stuffed toy to Jungkook to take care of.

You raised the hammer and as hard as you could you hit it. You saw the thing almost go to the bell but quickly went down. You were a bit upset but handed the hammer to Jungkook knowing fully well that he could reach the bell.

He handed the stuffed toy back to you and he quickly hit it making the bell ding after a moment. He got a smaller toy than yours but still carried it around as a prized possession. 

"You were close this time" he said trying to make you feel better from what happened last year which was when you barely made it halfway.

"Shut up" you mumbled and playfully punch him lightly making him laugh.

"Whatever, let's do something else" he said and grabbed your free hand that wasn't carrying the toy to drag you to a new booth.

"How about the Ferris wheel?" He suggested pointing to the colorfully lit Ferris wheel.

"I mean I guess" you shrugged. He dragged you to the line for the Ferris wheel and y'all waited for about 10 minutes before it was y'all's turn.

You both went in and the person closed the door securely. You were slightly nervous since you didn't really deal well with heights so your leg started shaking unintentionally.

"I forgot" Jungkook said with a slight upset expression. "I remember when we were playing at a park and you started crying because the slide was too high"

"Yeah, I'm better with heights it's just that sometimes they still get to me" you turned to him noticing his beautiful features. He offered his hand out for you to hold and you grabbed it holding his hand tightly.

You faced him again and you noticed how he would take quick glances from your lips but look back at your eyes. The full moon light slightly reflected on his face making his skin lighten a bit. You noticed how soft and plumped his lips looked up close.

"Can I?" He asked a bit nervous on your response but you slightly nodded still slightly looking at his lips.

He quickly leaned in and kissed you. You kissed back and he cupped your cheek softly caressing it as you two kissed for a couple of moments before pulling away. You wanting slightly more leaned back in surprising him a bit but went with it.

His lips felt so soft and probably one of the best kisses you've ever had. You two pulled away after half a minute.

"That was" he paused and breathed out loudly "sweet"

"What is that supposed to mean?" You asked curious at his statement.

"It was delicious, tasted like candy" he said smiling a bit. "Probably from the cotton candy earlier"

"Yeah" you said and chuckled a bit. 

"So, are we official?" He asked and you noticed that the Ferris wheel ride was done. As you both got out you said,

"Sure, but let's keep it a bit quiet for now" you said and he nodded agreeing with your suggestion.

"I'm fine with that, as long as I get to have you" he said and wrapped his arm around your waist. You slightly chuckled and you both headed down to the parking lot to head back home.
