Chapter 7

alone

"Why didn't you tell me?"

The voice a couple of feet away from you sounding too familiar to you. You wanted to look towards him but you kept your head down not saying anything while standing in the middle of Taehyungs yard.

With silence as his response he walked up to you and tried to go for a hug but you quickly pushed him away.

"Why did you do it?" You asked looking up at him seeing how the moon was lighting up his face making it look a bit paler than usual.

"The kiss?" He asked and you nodded. It was now his turn to stay silent for a couple of moments but instead of answering asked "why didn't you push me away?"

"It just happened so fast" you said and looked back down ashamed of yourself. In a soft and quiet tone you asked "Yoongi?"

He hummed signalling for you to continue talking as he was now putting all his attention towards you.

"I lost him. I lost my best friend. The only person I trusted and loved other than my family" you said covering your face with your hands and quickly started to cry again. This was the first time anyone other than your family and Jungkook have seen you cry. You never felt comfortable crying in front of people as it showed weakness but right now you couldn't care less on how weak you had seemed. 

After a couple of seconds you felt arms wrap around your waist. Yoongi felt the need to comfort and help the girl in his arms somehow yet didn't know how. He was never really good with dealing with his own emotions so how was he able to deal with the emotions of someone else? 

"I'm so stupid" your voice muffled because of your face being against his chest. His hands were rubbing up and down your back comforting you a bit, not wanting to see you like this as it pained him inside. 

"It's not all your fault" he said quietly resting his head on top of yours.

"Yes it is, you didn't know about us dating and like you stated, I didn't even try to push you away when I fully knew that I was with Jungkook"you said making Yoongi stay silent.

You both stayed like that for a couple of more minutes until you left texting Jimin that you were heading home. On the walk home your head was blank. 

No thoughts of Jungkook or Yoongi.

You arrived home and changed into some sweats to go to sleep in. You were so glad that you didn't have school tomorrow so you wouldn't have to face Jungkook or have to deal with him pretending you two never met.

"Jimin give me back my phone!" you exclaimed trying to catch up with your younger brother that had your phone in his grasp. You two had been running around the house for a couple of minutes until he entered the kitchen making mom angry as she had just mopped the floor.

"Sorry mom" he apologized quickly for steeping into her clean floor with his tennis shoes that were slightly dirty. 

"Go run outside" she ordered and pointed at the front door. He nodded and quickly ran to the front door with you quickly following. "And give y/n back her phone!"

Jimin groaned at what she had stated knowing he couldn't disobey his moms orders but not wanting to give your phone back until he got answers from you. 

"Why did you and Jungkook break up?" He asked curiously still having your phone in his hand. "I'll give you the phone if you answer me"

"It was a mutual thing" you lied hoping Jimin would believe you. You knew he would most likely know you were lying but you gave it shot not wanting him to be apart of it. 

"Yeah right" he scoffed loudly looking to the side before turning back to you. "You two looked so happy at the party yet you both go outside and suddenly things ended. Feelings can't change that fast"

What he said made you silent. He sighed loudly and walked up to you handing you your phone after saying

"It's okay if you don't want to tell me just know that I've known you longer than anyone has to tell when you're lying"

Before he walked back inside you said loud enough for him to hear

"I cheated"

He turned back shocked and thinking that he must have heard it wrong he asked "what?"

"I cheated on him" you repeated almost bursting out into tears. You stayed strong and didn't shed a tear.

"Why would you do that?" He said calmly and walked up to you standing a couple of inches away. You looked up and felt your eyes start to water. To prevent yourself from crying you looked slightly away and blinked quickly.

"I didn't mean to. Yoongi kissed me not knowing me and Jungkook were together. I didn't kiss back but yet I didn't pull away. I'm so stupid Jimin"

"You really are" he said agreeing with you. He hugged you and you stood still. "Is that why you left so early?"

"Yeah" your voice slightly cracking.

"What do I do Jimin?" You muffled out. You sighed tiredly since you didn't sleep at all last night having your mind run with thoughts. 

"Well, you need some time apart from both Yoongi and Jungkook. Since I'm sure Jungkook wants some time to think about things and if you go to Yoongi then Yoongi will think he's just a rebound and Jungkook will think hes just getting replaced and he'll get even more upset with you"

"How do I do that? I have both of them in the team"

"Just try your best. You'll get through this" he says lightly kissing your forehead. 

"Thanks Jimin. You really do know me best out of everyone, I love you"

"I love you too y/n"

I just wanted to show a closer bond between y/n and jimin since they are siblings :)
