Chapter ~ 2

Six weeks later

"Guys! The dishwasher still isn't working! Has anyone called Mr. Rodriguez yet? because the situation is officially disgusting!" Val started screaming early in the morning.

"Val can you please lower your voice there are people here trying to study!" I called out, as I climbed down the stairs.

"Seriously? why are you studying early in the morning? You always study late at night!" Val pointed out.

"Cause last night I was at the restaurant, someone has too!" l told her.

I was so tired Emilio was supposed to help me with all this instead I don't even see him some of the days. Like come on we are their guardians now, he's got to help me with all this. I signed, its literally hard to expect anything from him.

As both me and Val walked in kitchen we saw one of 'Emilio's Girls' we've lost count now.

"Um, which one are you?" Val asked the girl sitting on our dinning table.

I saw her eating some yogurt, wait that was the one I was supposed to throw out cause it was expired. "Uh, hey!? I'd check the date on that" I called out to her.

Thats when Luce and Beto entered both arguing over who is supposed to change Rafa's diaper. God!

"Which one are you? and is that my Tshirt?" Beto asked the girl still holding Rafa in his hands.

"We came by last night to do laundry." Emilio's voice boomed in.

"Not the laundry. Clearly just your laundry." Luce called Emilio out. I honestly agreed. He hasn't done any work he promised he would. Not that I'm surprised.

Emilio ignores Luce and introduces us to the new girl who's name is Alice. When Beto asks him what about all the other girls he had been with, I'm not judging, ok maybe I am.

"Alice here, very kindly offered to watch the baby while I'm at rehearsal." Emilio informed us. Alice takes Rafa from Beto even though Beto informed her about Rafa's load, which I think she doesn't mind for some reason.

Emilio starts telling us how he has a gig and that they have to practice all weekend.

"Hey! We're seening Mami and Papi this weekend Emilio, Or did you forget?" Val asked him clearly annoyed at his lack of interest.

"No, I did not forget, we'll hit the road a 10, okay?" Emilio says.

"No its not okay!" Luce told Emilio as I spoke in.

"Emilio visiting hours starts at noon, and its a three hour drive." I pointed out irritated.

"We should leave at 8:00 in case there's traffic, or maybe you're hoping to sleep in" Val told him.

"I don't have much of a sense of smell. Ever since I hit my head on a seesaw in 3rd grade. I can smell gasoline but only through my mouth." We all stare at Alice as she goes to change Rafa's diaper calling Emilio "Mi-lo" instead of "Milo" asking if Rafa's roon is upstairs, as she heads up.

"Ew, that may explain why she ate all that yogurt." I say clearly disgusted.

"Uh, Mi-lo? Who's Mi-lo?" Luce teases Emilio.

"Pawning Rafa off on the flavor of the week?" Beto clearly making fun of Emilio.

Emilio goes on about how Alice is a Veryyy nice girl, who's doing us a favor, and that he doesn't want any of us to make any comments on her. Well I can't promise you that Emilio I say in my head.

"Maybe you should send her shopping, too, since you're never around. The Martinez's stopped dropping off groceries a couple week ago, and now were low on everything." Val starts complaining to Emilio which honestly I don't mind her doing that, I'm on her side.
