Chapter ~ 3

"Hey birthday boy come on last one plzz for me?" I try talking to Rafa while feeding him the baby food, man. my brother is one fussy eater.

Well if you haven't guessed already, I had to stay home from college cause the girl Emilio had kept to watch over Rafa left, due to Emilio's fault which he won't know until his back. I don't really blame the girl, Emilio is an arse.

"Ah good boy". I say to Rafa as he makes all the baby noises, aww my baby brother is soo cute I say to myself.

Just as I finish with Rafa, I heard the front door opening. Emilio approaches me with a shocked expression.

"Uh where's Alina? no Alice! yeah! hey Liz remember I told Alice to look after Rafa, why aren't you in college? and where is she?" Emilio asks me.

"She, uh, left. Yesterday." I tell him, a blank look on my face as I continue trying to clear the mess I did while feeding Rafa.

"Why? did she say anything?" Emilio asks me worried. Atlest he is worried about something I don't if it's the girl or something else.

"Piece of advice. Don't leave your tablet on the counter. I don't blame her, she saw those texts you sent some girl named Francesca." I tell him, as I continued cleaning.

"Damn it!" Emilio says as he realizes what I was talking about.

"Emilio, I missed 2 days of college alright? 2 whole days! you can't keep doing this Emilio, I know you have got your gigs but so do I, I've already missed so much I won't be able to stay back again, cause even our attendance is important."

"I'm sorry okay? it's just hard, all of this, I didn't ask for this Liz." Emilio tells me.

"So did I Emilio, I never signed up to act like a mother to my own brother, yet here I am." I tell him, as I placed my hand on his shoulders to comfort him and to tell him, he wasn't alone in this.

"I know, I'm sorry." he says to me.

"Hey Rafa has a pediatrician appointment in an hour, daycare starts at 11. Oh yeah, Um we've got to go to the school, um I got call from the school from the vice principal's office, she wants to see us both." I tell him as I finish the last of the cleaning.

At the school

Both me and Emilio enter the school office, as we approach the front desk, a voice calls both our names as we turn towards this lady.

"Dana Franzetti. Why don't you both come in." she tells us, as both of us hurry up towards her office.

We both take our seats as the principal speaks.

"I'm really concerned about your sister" she says making both me and Emilio to look at each other as Emilio asks "Lucía?".

"Did she do something wrong?" I quickly asked fully worried.

"Well, at this very moment, she's in detention for an incident that occurred in her history class." she tells us. Both me and Emilio completely shocked, this isn't Lucia.

"You sure we're talking about the same girl here?" Emilio asks making me nod at his question.

"Your sister's always been a straight A student, but as of late, I've been getting reports that she hasn't been handling in her assignments, and in her world history class, she blatantly disrespected a teacher in front of the entire class." she informs us.

"Well, Lucia, uh, you know, we're all under a lot of pressure. You know, stuffs been going on with our family these days. I don't know if you've heard." Emilio tells her trying to gain some sympathy, I mutter under my breath to make him quiet.
