Luna was the first to wake up, the Baudelaires had being exhausted from the previous day but that was just an average day for her, so she was not affected.

Luna lifted her head and saw that Sunny was still on her chest, Luna smiled a little at the cuteness of her little snores. Luna then looked at Klaus and Violet, both still asleep but what Luna didn't notice was that Violet, in the night, had tangled her arms around Luna's right arm, almost like the brunette was holding her.

What Luna didn't know was Violet had woke up in the night with tears coming out her eyes, the girl was having dreams of her parents that turned into nightmares, so when she woke up. Violet did the one thing that she thought would help her with the nightmares, hug up to Luna.

To Violet the girl was soft and cuddly, as soon as she got comfortable, the brunette fell asleep practically cuddling up the black haired girl.

Luna looked at Violet and smiled with a light blush coming to her cheeks, before the door opened banging into the wall, making the Baudelaire children wake up with a fright.

"Come on, you've got more chores to do" Olaf said walking away, the three Baudelaire children wiped their eyes still a little sleepy.

Luna looked at Klaus and saw the bruise on his cheek had gone down a little "how's your cheek?" Luna asked the boy.

He yawned "still stings a little, but it will go away eventually"

Luna looked at the boy with empathy, she knew that Olaf's hits stung, a lot, and felt like she could of done more for the Baudelaire boy, they got out of the bed and started getting dressed in opposite sides of the room, with all the children facing the wall, Sunny was still a little sleepy so she remained on the bed.

The other three children went into seperate corners with Klaus being on one side of the room and the girls on the other.

Throughout the period of changing, Violet would glance at Luna, but what she saw almost made her cry. Luna had some scars on her torso, they were small, but still noticeable, it made Violet angry, how could anyone be mean to a sweet girl like Luna, Violet thought.

When they were done, Olaf told them they would be chopping wood all the children sighed as they made their way to the garden, the children all took turns in chopping the wood, except Sunny as she was a baby.

"Put some elbow grease into it!" Olaf yelled noticing the children were slowing down.

Violet sighed as she chopped another peace of wood, handing the axe to Luna "Mr. Poe must have made a horrible mistake when he took is here, theres no way our parents would want us in Count Olaf's care"

"If you can even call it that" Luna said softly not wanting Olaf to hear as she chopped more wood.

"As soon as Count Olaf's back is turned, we need to leave this house, I'd rather take my chances on the streets than stay here any longer" Klaus said in frustration as he placed the wood in a pile.

Luna's face went white with fear, she couldn't be left here alone "b but what if something happened to you, on the street" Klaus looked at Luna "you'd come with us" he said, Luna breathed unevenly, she knew that if she tried to runaway again, Olaf would hit her, she didn't want that.
