The Reptile Room
Olaf strikes again

Luna began shaking, her breath became
uneasy as she gazed upon her father. Granted he was in 'disguise' but seeing his evil eyes, was all it took for her fear to rise.

"good morning" Olaf said in a thick accent "I am Stephano, Dr Montgomery Montgomery's new assistant"

The three Baudelaires looked between each other "it's afternoon" Violet informed Olaf "and you're Count Olaf" Klaus said

"perhaps one of you can take my suitcases up to my room, the ride along that smelly road was dull and unpleasant, and Stephano is very tired" Olaf kept playing his part but non of the children believed his act.

Violet looked towards Luna and saw the girl was crippled with fear, in this moment Violet decided to be strong for Luna "you're Count Olaf, and if anyone ever decided to travel on lousy Lane, it's you" Violet said aggressively towards Olaf who just kept looking at the children.

" we will not help you with your luggage and we will not let you in this house" Klaus tried to close the door but Olaf stopped it with a knife, he slowly opened it again and pointed it at the children, Violet lightly grabbed Luna's free hand as they started to back up as Olaf kept walking towards them.

"well, I see you children haven't changed a bit, Violet, you're obviously as stubborn as ever. Klaus, you're still wearing those idiotic glasses from reading too many books. Luna the little leach is still as ugly and pathetic as ever. And I can see little sunny here so has 9 toes instead of 10" Olaf said each comment hurt the children a little, but Luna started to let tears fall from her eyes.

She knew Olaf was right, no matter how hard she improved herself she would always be ugly and pathetic, it made her want to crawl up into a ball and just stay like that till she died.

" what are you talking about? My sister has tend to like the vast majority of people" Klaus said a little confused, the children still backing up the stairs "really? That's  I could have sworn that she lost one of her toes and an accident. I seem to recall a man named Stephano been so confused by been called count Olaf that he accidentally dropped his knife on one of her little severed one of her toes" Olaf said getting darker and darker in tone, making Luna all the more scared.

"you wouldn't dare" Violet said in a defensive tone similar to one a mother might have.

"let's not discuss what I would or would not dare instead, let's discuss your poor, unfortunate parents" Olaf said he then pointed the knife at the picture of the piano tapping it three times "your father and mother where's very brave in their days, but" Olaf then imitated an explosion "their days are done, Baudelaires"

"that is not a photo of their parents" Luna spoke up nervously causing Olaf to look at the fear ridden girl "yes, it is. They're inside the piano"

"how do you know that?" Klaus asked

"me and her wretched mother took the picture" Olaf said referring to Luna "and now, all that's left of them is there an enormous fortune" Olaf began walking towards the children again and they started to walk backwards "and that enormous fortune is mine" Olaf said in an aggressive tone.

"never" Klaus said confidently

Olaf just smiled evilly "never is such a long time. And you're ridiculous uncle will be back in a few seconds" suddenly the iguana clock sounded scaring Olaf allowing the children to make a run for the Reptile Room, they got in as Olaf threw the knife but it was stopped by the door.
