chapter 6: PAST LOVE AFFAIR

"Oh! Dear, do you forget who I am? Let's me remind you, I am your ex girlfriend Anushka who was betrayed by you and your family. Your brother Raghav was good enough to exploit me and then put all the blame on my head." She said.

"Don't try to play the victim card. You betrayed me and changed an innocent man into a beast. Get out of my house and don't come again. I hate you and my brother both. I hate the love and the people like you. You destroyed my life and now you want to be innocent. Stay away from me else you have to pay for it."

She laughed on me and spoke about the moments we spend together in college. She made joke of my love and called me an idiot.

"I loved you Rishi from the bottom of my heart, but you never came to rescue me from the insult and pain which was given by your family. Do you remember the night of 3-10-2016 or forget like any other night. But, I can't forget because I lost everything on that night. I lost my happiness, my dreams, my respect, you and my father too. My father died because he can't bear the shame and disrespect given by your brother and your family."

"How can I forget that night because you-the love of my life were in my brother's bed. I think you have created your own story to get relieve from guilt of fucking my brother."

"I always tried to convince you and this society but no one heard me. Everyone insulted me and my family. Now, you have to pay its cost because I am done with everyone. You have to convince your brother to apologise me and my family in front of society."

"I don't want to involve with you and Raghav. That was done on mutual consent. So, leave me alone as things have been changed and I am not the same person you know."

"Even I am not the same person and now I want revenge either from your brother or you. I will not leave you as you have to work under me."

"I will never work with you and I am going to reject the proposal of your company."

"You can't because you have signed a bond with my company."

She put gun on my forehead and wants to pull the trigger, but she refused to do this as she wants to see me dying of yearning. Suddenly, we heard knock on the door. She put her gun in bag and allowed me to entertain the guest.

I opened the door and found bouquet of red roses with a card. I picked up and asked Anushka for the reason of sending flowers, but she refused and took card from my hand.

She read the card loudly, "LOVE YOU. S_______A."

She made fun of me and said, "Look you have got a new lover. I hope you will not hurt her. But sadly you will lose her because I will make sure that you will live rest of your life alone as I am living. See you soon Rishi my innocent enemy."

She left me by throwing card on me.

I was thinking about the card and made a wild guess that it might be from Sameeksha, as her name have 'S' and 'A'. I don't want any relationship so, I decided to fix the situation before everything goes against me.

I planned a surprise for her. I decorated her room and clerestory with candles and dim light. I bought a new dress and put that in her room. I put wine and glasses on the table. It was appearing very beautiful and I started waiting for her.
