Chapter 14: BLACKMAIL

Daksh dialled Vedika and asked her to bring Shaurya in the basement of NGO. It was around 12PM when Vedika and Shaurya reached in the basement of NGO. Shaurya was shocked and he cried when he saw his uncle Raman and Rishi tied and unconsciously lying on the floor. He requested Daksh to release them and in return he will accept all his demands. Daksh and Vedika were happy and Vedika presented a proposal to Shaurya. She asked him to marry Sam and then transfer all his property on her name. Shaurya was confused and asked her about their connection with Sam. They both started laughing on Shaurya and Vedika explained the relationship status of Rishi and Sam.

Shaurya got disheartened and accepted her proposal for his uncle and Rishi. But he didn't know whether Sam would be ready to marry him or not. Daksh forced him to blackmail Sam for the life of Rishi. When Shaurya refused then he put the knife on Rishi's neck. Shaurya accepted their proposal.

Shaurya dialled Sam and asked her to meet him immediately. Sam refused to meet as she was worried about Rishi. She told him that Rishi was missing and she is in search of him. Sam accepted to meet him in the park near to Shipra Mall when Shaurya told her that he wanted to discuss about Rishi.

It was around 2PM when they met in the park. Shaurya said, "I have to confess something about Rishi and me. I was his classmate and we were best friends. We were happy and enjoying our lives but everything went wrong when I realised that I am in love with him. I tried everything to stay away from him but every effort was gone into vain. I was about to propose him when he told me about Anushka. They were in love and wanted to get married after their college. I was jealous of her but I can't do anything. I tried to stay away from their lives but I can't control my emotions. I want to hurt Anushka and drive her out from Rishi's life. I tried to convince Rishi and his family that Anushka is not good for him but they didn't hear me.

So, I plotted against her and waited for a chance to defame her in front of everyone. I got the opportunity in the Birthday party of Raghav. I gave romantic mood tablets to Raghav and Anushka by mixing tablets into the cold drink. I called them upstairs on the name of Rishi's mother. I locked them into the room when their minds were arrested by the effect of tablets and went out of the room through window. The room was locked from inside which increases the probability of people believing on my theory. They were caught red handed and she was out from Rishi's life. I was happy but it doesn't last long.

Rishi was upset because of this incident and he started using alcohol. One night, I was in his room and he was completely drunk. I can't resist his charm and I started kissing him. He was not in his senses so he didn't resist me. I can't control myself and was eager to get close to him. I wanted sexual relationship with him. We were naked when suddenly his mother came. He was drunk but I was not. I covered our bodies and made Rishi to fell in bed. I dressed up and followed her mother as she was shouting and calling everyone.

She scolded me when I told her that I love Rishi. It was in 2017 when same sex relationship was illegal in India. She wanted to handover me to the police. I requested her to not call police but she refused to hear me. I tried a lot and suddenly I pushed her unintentionally from the terrace. She fell down and went into coma.

Few days later, I proposed him and told the truth about that night. He refused to accept me and he start hating me. He wanted to kill me but he was unable to kill his best friend. He gave me one chance to run away from his life and warned me to not come in his life again.

I tried to stay away from him but I can't do that.

When article 377 was decriminalised in India on 6 september 2018, I tried to return in his life but I can't collect my strength to come in front of him. Later on my cousin Vedika came back to India to practice her profession. She helped me to meet Rishi whenever possible. I love to spend time with him."

"Why are you telling me this Shaurya?"

"Because Rishi is in danger and you are his girlfriend. We can save him if you accept the proposal of marrying me. Don't take me wrong but this is the only way to save Rishi. I don't want to marry with you but we have to do this because they want this to happen.

Don't ask me about them because if I will tell then they will kill Rishi and my uncle. I can only tell you that you will get all my property if you marry me and to save Rishi we have to transfer that property to the kidnapper."
