chapter 9: SECRET BASEMENT

"I discussed about Sam with Vedika. She tried every means to proof her wrong and forced me to keep Sam out from this NGO. She wanted me to believe on her as she is my cousin sister but I have a doubt on her motives. There is something going on in this NGO. She took control of the basement which we always kept close after my father's death. I never visited there since I found my father's dead body in mysterious condition in that basement. I trusted her as she helped me in my odds. But she is behaving like strangers after she visited this NGO. I don't know what is wrong with her. She didn't behave like my sister anymore. I have to find the reason behind these changes in her."

I headed towards the basement when I found her mobile not reachable. I was sure that I would find her in the basement as I found her many times there without any reason. I found the door of basement closed from inside when I reached their. But I heard some noises as they were fighting. I knew both of the voices but was unable to identify the other person. One of them was Vedika. I was desperate to find the truth so I used another way to enter into basement. I entered into the duct which passes all over the basement and NGO. It is the only way through which we can check the whole NGO, without getting an eye of others. Only few people knew about it and Vedika is one of them.

I reached at one of the outlet of duct from which I can see Vedika clearly but was unable to see the other person. The basement was not properly lit but I can guess the height and physique of that person. He was tall and strong wearing an overcoat. I heard them clearly talking about the Sam and the lady who visited our NGO today. The unknown man explained how he killed that lady on terrace and then used the duct to enter into basement.

Suddenly, my phone started ringing. I hided myself and cut the call. But it was too late because their conversation got ended. I peeped into the basement and found it empty. I waited for few more minutes until I heard the closing of the door of basement. I jumped into the basement and found some packets from which blood was leaking. I found small body pieces when I opened them. I was shocked and about to shout when someone hit on my head. I fell down on the ground. I was unable to see clearly but found two persons standing in front of me. I saw cross sign on the shoes of that unknown person. I heard their voices. He wanted to kill me but stopped by another person. She was Vedika. She told him about my uncle Raman and about the will of my father. She was explaining him when I got fainted away. I don't know what else she had told him. But this incident proved me that she is playing a big game.

I opened my eye on the bed of my NGO and members of my NGO told me that they had found me unconscious in the garden. I don't know what to explain them as I was in shock and confused. I remembered them talking about Sam so I called her but she didn't answered me. I decided to help her secretly as Vedika would kill her. I can't stand against Vedika because she knew all my secrets and would blackmail me if I did anything against her.
