Clementine awoke, only to be greeted by a seething Nathan. "You're...awake. didn't think you'd make it.." The irritation in his voice was so... obvious that it scared Clem a little. "I'd watch my back if I were you. Maybe the others like you... but it doesn't mean I do. I DON'T trust you." Clementine frowned; another jackass. Of course. What did she expect? Nathan glared at the eleven year old, before walking out of the room. He gave her one last look before slamming the door. Clem sighed, it was going to be a long day.
Curtis smiled as the young girl finally entered the living room. "Hey Clem. How'd you sleep? I mean... after what you were telling me...." She shook her head, and smiled. "I slept fine. Don't worry about it." Clementine reassured the man, and in response he patted her head. "I'm guessing there's more to that story?" William walked in, his hair in a mess as he had only just woken up. "Don't say that..." Curtis replied through gritted teeth: he didn't want to upset Clementine. William rolled his eyes and threw himself onto the couch. Curtis turned his attention back to Clementine, and smiled. "Ya hungry?" She nodded, grinning. "Awesome! I'll go make you somethin special." He winked and headed to the kitchen. "Special?? C'mon dude!!" William groaned at Curtis' reply. Curtis chuckled from the kitchen, and Clementine giggled. She forgot about her wound, and clutched her stomach. "Crap..." she grimaced, closing her eyes for a few seconds before opening them again. William looked at her, concern on his face. "Ya.. okay? Is your wound hurtin again?" Clementine nodded slowly, and he got up. Approaching the girl, he proceeded to check the wound again. "Hmmm.. I'll clean it after breakfast, okay?" At that moment, Curtis called from the kitchen. "Yo! Breakfast is ready!" They both looked at each other and smirked. "Ohh yeah..."
*BELCH* William lay back in his chair, a look of happiness and approval on his face. "Damn, that was good." Everyone laughed in agreement. All accept Nathan, who glared at Clementine the whole damn time! She caught him from the corner of her eye, and so did Curtis. "What the hell is ya problem, huh? We're tryna make her feel welcome here, not uncomfortable! Geez..." Nathan just flipped him off and got up, growling slightly. "Fuck you... I don't see why you actually trust that girl. She's nothin but trouble, you'll see." He kicked the chair angrily and left. "Ugh... I can't stand him man. He's pissin me off." William commented on Nathan's behavior towards Clementine. Andrea nodded, before speaking. "Why wouldn't we trust Clem? She's just a kid. Who's been through a lot for her age." Her gaze met Clementine's, and smiled a little. "I don't know what he's planning, but we'll stop him. Protecting Clementine is now our main priority." Curtis spoke up, and Clementine looked down sheepishly. "You... really think I'm that important?" All three smiled, and looked at Clem. "Yes. Yes we do." She returned the smile, feeling safe with these new people. She wasn't going to let them die because of her actions. Not like everyone else.. not this time. This was a new start...
