Donatella's POV

We just landed and we are on our way to the hospital. I can't stop crying. I know it's affecting my son because he is starring at me worriedly.
We went straight to the hospital she was admitted.
"Good evening, please I'm here for Juliana Jones." I greeted and told the receptionist.
"Please who are you to her?" She asked
"I'm her daughter." I responded.
"Okay, please go and see the doctor first before you proceed to her room." She said politely.
"Thank you." She showed me the direction to the doctor's office.
I gave my son to my driver. I don't want to stress him anymore .
"Baby, mommy will be back soon okay." I kissed his forehead.
"Mommy stop crying." He used his little hands to clean my face.
"I'm sorry. I love you so much." I quickly went to the doctor's office.

The doctor told me that it was a minor injury so there is nothing to worry about. She will be discharged within three days. I felt relieved. I thanked God for saving my mother.
I went to her room and found her sleeping. I kissed her forehead and sat beside her. I held her hand and started at her beautiful face. I resemble her a lot. I am glad to be her daughter.
When my dad divorced her, I cried a lot. I used to blame her for everything. My dad told me that she was cheating on him. I didn't even hug her when she was leaving.
After some months, I found out that dad was sleeping with Carter's mom. I was shocked. I couldn't gather the courage to comfort my dad.
I called my mom for the first time she left. She was very happy to hear my voice. I apologized for treating her the same way dad did. She told me everything that happened. I wanted to go to her but she requested that I stay with dad because of my education.
I couldn't tell Carter that his mother was cheating on his dad.
I remembered one time when I saw Carter's mom crying because dad was forcing himself on her. So I thought she was a good woman and it wasn't her fault. I didn't realized I fooled myself. She is a bitch, it pains me that she is my mother-in-law.
"Honey, you are here." I pulled out of my reverie.
"Hey, I'm so sorry for leaving you alone." I began crying.
"It's okay honey. I'm fine." We hugged each other tightly.
"I love you mom." I whispered.
"I love you too." She whispered back.

I told her everything that has happened within the few weeks I left. She was even surprised to know that Carter was actually alive. She felt so much happy for me.
Suddenly my phone rang, it was my dad. I panicked. I looked at my mom for approval before I picked. She nodded and I picked up.
"Ella sweetheart, I learnt that you are in the USA right now. Why didn't you come and look for me. I miss you sweetheart. Tell me where are you living now. I'm coming over." He said.
"Who is the sweetheart?!! Don't ever call me again!! I'm no longer in the USA!! I left. Don't you ever call me again! I hate you!" I ended the call.
"Why did you speak to your dad like he was your mate?!! He is still your father! Whatever he has done to you doesn't change the fact that you should talk to him any how!! You should give him the respect he deserves. Besides he is sorry!" My mom reprimanded me.
"Mom! Can you hear yourself?! He is a monster! Remember what he did to you! And how did you know that he is sorry?" I suddenly became interested in her last sentence.
She ignored me and slept.

Three days later

Mom is discharged now. I have been trying to find out why she said that. She keeps changing the topic. She is lucky Carter Jnr is been clingy on her lately. I would have forced her to talk.
We reached home and we settled.
The maid came to tell us something surprising.
"Paige, please a man came here looking for you yesterday. He claimed that he is your business partner. Errm he said his name is Carter.. ma'am I can't remember his surname.
My mom and I looked at each shocked.
Suddenly, I saw him entering with one of my guards.
We gasped! How the fuck did he found us.
