CHAPTER 12: Seeing is Deceiving

The last class ended. 30minutes early. That's an English class. Well, then. Saan pa ba ako pupunta? I got no homeworks left and naaral ko na yung para bukas. I'll review na lang ulit few hours before class.

Should I go to the mall? Sino kaya isasama ko? Hmm. I wonder if umuwi na ba sila Joanne at Nina. Kasi sina MJ and Danna, kanina pang 3pm ang uwi.

I texted Joanne....
"J. Where are you? Dismissal ko na. :)"

"Friend, I'm here kila tita Anne. Kanina pang 12:30 ang dismissal ko. Remember, Monday ngayon. Anyways, bakit? Are you gonna go somewhere?" She replied.

"Ah ganon ba. Uhm. Pwede ka bang pumunta here sa Therese? Samahan mo naman ako sa mall. Or, if you want, doon na lang tayo mag-meet. :)"

"Ano namang gagawin mo there? Books again?"

"Yes. Ano pa nga ba. Sige na please. ;( Treat ko ikaw. :)"

"Friend. Gusto man kitang samahan I can't. Wala naman ako sa house. Nandito kasi nga ako kila Tita Anne with mommy. 'Tis for a family thingyyy. Sayang you didn't tell me earlier. :( Sorry. Bawi next time. Love yah! :*"

Hayst. I guess I'd go alone now. Kaakain lang naman ako, bibili ng cake, and I'd buy books para mabasa ko. Since, malapit na ang semestral break. I won't text the other three na lang baka busy din. Uhm. Actually I don't intend to text Nina. Kasi... alam mo na yun.

Pero I replied to J before ako umalis ng campus...
"Awwie. Well, sige okay lang. Kaya nga eh I forgot. Haha! Ingat ka. :) Thanks anyways. Bid me a 'HELLO' to everybody. Okay? HAHA. Love yah too! :*"

Then I hailed a tricycle and went to the mall. Syempre ang una kong ginawa ay bumili ng books. HAHA! Yung isa kay Nicholas Sparks and the other is... kay James Patterson. After that, nag-early dinner ako sa RETROGRADE. A classic resto for classic Italian cuisine. Ano pa ba? 0 syempre pasta kasi Italian nga. Pizza and such. Last, I've planned to go sa kabilang side para bumili ng two rolls ng ice cream cake sa DAIRY DIARY. Gusto ko kasi yung ice cream cakes dun. Hahaha. Iuuwi ko sa bahay para kay Kuya. The other is for me. Sumaglit lang naman ako dito sa mall.

As I am walking towards Dairy, I saw Nina. She is buying ice cream cake, too. Paborito din kasi yun ng barkada...wag na kayo magtaka.

But, that isn't my concern. I am thinking, what would I do in case she sees me? Or, maybe nakita na niya ako? Ugh. This is weird na para akong aloof to seeing her.

Habang iniisip ko ang gagawin and possibilities of what will happen, she saw me and waved at me. Oh no! Here it goes! Be calm and not awkward.

"Sam! Hey! Who are you with? J? Di nyo sinabi that you'll go and meet here. Talaga yun si Joanne! Edi sana nagsabay na lang kami. [laughs]"

"Oh. No, no, no. It's just me. Wala daw kasi si J sa house. Ayun. Anyway, you've been here since kanina pa from your dismissal?"

"Nope. Uhm, 3 o'clock. Mga ganon."

"Ow. You obviously went for a shopping. But, on Monday? [sounds like wanting an answer]

"Well, yes. Ang aga kasi ng uwi namin kanina, besides I won't be doing anything coz I've read na further. And, yun."

"Sa bagay. Me too."

I wonder, are you with Ian? I silently asked myself that.

And just then, the douche appeared from somewhere. I dunno. Baka galing ng ibang planeta. Psh! Awkward na nga, ng awkward pa lalo!

Wait.. so, magkasama sila? Eh?
