CHAPTER 14: Is there more?

I alarmed my phone ... 5:30 a.m. So, I woke up 6:00am. HAHA! I am not the only one who does that sa pag-a-alarm.

May pasok nga ako. I checked myself in the mirror. Ano pa ba? Syempre parang prinsesa ang pagkakatulog ko eh. Prinsesa din pagkagising!

Jooooooke! Oh sige. Paggising ko ang gulo ng buhok ko tapos ang gulo ng bed. Hindi naman ako nag-drool, ano!

I fixed and ready myself. Maganda ako. Este, maganda ang gising ko. Yey!

I am done fixing myself so I'd be going down to eat breakfast. Suddenly,Dad entered the room.

"Hi, Dad! I'll be there soon. Actually, pababa na nga ako just before you came."

"I was just checking on you my princess. Akala ko nga you're still asleep. Come down now. Halika na breakfast is ready. Kuya is there too." – Dad

Okay. We went down and eat. After, we headed to school. Naka-car. Wala ako sa mood mag-commute ngayon. Mag-iisip ako eh baka kung saan pa ko makarating imbis na sa school kakaisip ko. Haha

Sa kotse...

"Maddie, si Ian and Nina pa din ba?" – kuya

"Yeah. Why? Chismoso nito!"

"Hey! I was just asking!"

"Yeah whatever. Bakit nga?"

"Chismosa nito [mimicking my tone]! Eh bakit gusto mong malaman? Can you grow up a little?"

"Ewan ko sa'yo, kuya! Ugh. You're ruining my bright day!"

"I just asked. OA ka lang."

"No. Hindi naman ako OA. Maybe you are. Kuya, I was just curious why were you asking if sila pa. That is all."

"Crazy girl. I said I was just asking nga, diba?"

"Sila pa nga. Bakit? Did Ian tell you something? Are they having problems or what, for you to think that way?" I curiously asked.

"Hindi naman sa ganon."

"Then, why did you ask?"

"Bakit curious ka?"

I was silenced by that question. Oh em. Does he know anything? Pero, what's there to know, diba?

"Bawal ka na bang tanungin ngayon? Besides, Nina is your bestfriend, Ian is your classmate. What's so wrong in asking you?"

"Nothing's wrong! I told you I was just curious kung bakit ka biglang nagtanong ng ganon."

"There you said it. Curious ka! I wonder why?"

"Of course! You were asking. It's not much like you to ask about those things na wala ka naman kinalaman."  I said while wriggling my eyebrows.

"Okay then. Let's just drop this topic. You're so inconvincible!"

He said that in a serious tone, and he put his earphones in. He is ignoring me!

I put out the book I bought. Magbabasa na lang ako. Nainis ko ata si kuya dahil sa kakulitan ko.

As we nearly arrived at school, hindi pa din ako pinapansin ni kuya. I poked him.

"Kuya. Hey. You mad? Sorry na. Uyy. Sorry if I have gone way far. Maybe inisip mo na hindi man lang kita nirespect or something like that. Sorry in that sense."

He still ignores me. Hala! Galit nga ata siya. Aaaaahhhh!

Oh em. I inhaled and exhaled deeply.

"Fine. I'd buy you your fave cake again just to make it up to you. Kahit hindi ko alam kung ano bang malaking kasalanan ko."

I am just not used to him being quiet. Lagi kasi akong inaasar niyan. He looked at me. And,

"Yeah sure. We're okay then."

He smirked. Aaaaaah! Was he just playing? Ugh!

I am such a gullible sister. :(

Reached school. Maaga pa naman. I'd go to the cafeteria first. Sanay kasi ako na bumibili muna ng food bago ako umakyat. Sa 5th floor ang rooms ko, remember? And the cafeteria one is sa ground floor, and the other, sa third floor. Anyways, I need to get going.

I am happily approaching the room…still 15minutes early.

And,

I saw Nina in our room. Of course, Adrian is here too. Classmates nga kami ni Ian, diba. Nina approached me and asked how I've been.

I am fine just a little bit before seeing you here beside him. Now, it kinda hurts. Yes, hurts a little.

Eh?

But, I said

"I'm good. Upo na ako ha? I'll just review for today's lessons."  I smiled at her as I take my seat.

I plugged my earphones in, and starts to read…

Has it ever crossed your mind when we’re hanging, spending time, girl? Are we just friends? Is there more? Is there more? See, it’s a chance we gotta take coz I believe we can make this into something that will last…last forever.

 

Wow, diba? Yan talaga nasa Acoustic playlist ko. -_- Crush, by David Archuleta. I was so immersed in reading, pero sa part na yan talaga nalipat ang focus ko. Ughhhhhhhh! Ano ba yun, bakit? Err!

I glanced at Ian. Naisip ko yung lyrics ng song. Are we just friends? Or is there more? Haaaaay.

Okaaaaay. Wait. I should be reviewing the lessons and not remembering the song or whatever. Diba? Okay. FOCUS, Samantha!!!

In fairness sa sarili ko, pinapagalitan ako. LOL.

I went back to reading.

Pero di na ako makapagfocus eh. Bakit ba ganito?!

"Bakit ano?"

Oh paper ship. Nilingon ko.

"What the hell?!"

Uhm. Napatigil ako. Jeez. It's Ian.

"What? You're cussing. That's new."

"Ah. Yeah. Whatever."

"You said 'Bakit ganito'. Anong ganito? The lesson?"

"It's actually not your business. So, why bother asking?"

"Napakasungit mo naman Samantha.. I was just asking. Malay ko ba kung ano na yang tinatanong mo na bakit ganyan."

I smirked.

"As you can see, I'm fine."

"Okay then. I'd leave you alone. Btw, Nina left already. Ayaw ka daw istorbohin kaya di na nagpaalam sayo."

"Good to know."

He walked away from me. Nilingon ko.

Wait, by Good to know, I meant that he is leaving me alone to read ha? Not regarding Nina going back to her own class. Hahaha

And so I started reading again...I mean, kunwaring nagbabasa but di ko naman naabsorb. The last time, okay naman. Kasi we kinda forget what happened and what the situation is. Ang awkward lalo ngayon after seeing them beside each other. Ewan!

"I miss you, Samantha."

Da fish. It's Ian.

I turned my head. He's behind me. Aigoo. Why are you like this, Ian?

I smiled at him.

And rolled my eyes. HAHAHA

Srsly. Is there more than just friendship for us? If only I could tell you, I miss you too.
