A/N: Sorry it's short, guys!

The wolves and Bella look very confused. The Cullens have never acted this way in front of them. Their current behavior seems strange and out of character, especially for Emmett. Normally nobody could get him to shut up. Now he, along with the rest of his family, was dead silent. For once, the vampires stand completely still, resembling statues in the middle of the forest.

Major turns to Carlisle, smirking slightly at the man his alter ego considers a father. "Carlisle, it's nice to see you again. As you can see, Jasper and I are very worried about our little Sunshine. Which direction did she run off in?" Carlisle looks at him confused. "I'm not exactly sure. I was trying to calm Jasper down, so I didn't see. Edward is the one who would know." Oh thank you so much, Carlisle, Edward thinks in irritation. He has been trying to keep Major's attention off Bella, but that's impossible now.

"Edward, you can stop trying to hide the human. I won't hurt Bella. Right now, I want to find where Little Darlin' went so I can find her." Edward relaxes slightly, but not completely due to Bella and the wolves not knowing what is going on. Any one of them could say something and set Major off. That would not be good for anyone. "Hello, Major. Maddison went East into the woods. However, you don't need to go looking for her. In fact, she's coming back right now." Everyone turns to the sound of running at vampire speed, waiting for the youngest vampire to get back.

Maddison's POV

I let go of the deer I just drained, sighing in sadness. I just came home, and this happens. My mate, who I have been waiting 70 years to meet, is a wolf shifter. His kind only exists to kill my species. The rest of the pack must hate me, but what about him? He is stuck with me as a soulmate, which isn't something to brag about. How did they react to it?

As these thoughts go through my head, the wind shifts slightly, bringing me a scent that I haven't smelled in a decade. I don't think about anything other than my brother. Major isn't allowed out very often, but when he is he and I have a lot of fun. The others are terrified of him, except for Alice. I'm the only one in the family that doesn't have to submit to him. We have a sibling bond, so he's extremely protective over me. We are equals according to him.

I make it back to the clearing and rush right into his arms. He, as always, is ready to catch me when I jump. I wrap my arms and legs around him while burying my head in his neck. I have missed him so much, so I just stay there for a minute or two, enjoying our embrace. He gently puts me down and holds me at arms length. "Little Darlin', you are a sight for sore eyes! How was your decade?" I laugh and sit down on the ground with him, speaking animatedly about my travels. "Oh, by the way, Peter and Charlotte want you to go visit them soon. Peter told me to make sure you do."

Suddenly, he gets a phone call. We share a look, knowing who it is, before Major answers it. "Hey, Captain. I will visit you and Charlotte soon, just let me get through this week." I hear a chuckle come from the other end as Peter tries to respond. "Okay, I was just making sure. We also wanted to check on Maddison since I knew she was crying." I reach for the phone and say, "Well, thanks Pete, but I'm fine now. Sometimes your gift makes you sound like a stalker." Major and I laugh as Peter immediately starts protesting. "I ain't got a gift! I just know stuff!" We all laugh again and Major hangs up the phone. We sigh before turning back to the family.

As soon as I turn back to them, I realize a couple of things. Bella and the wolves probably have no idea what's going on. That's going to be weird to explain. My family will be on edge until Jasper comes back since Major is very powerful and slightly more dangerous than Jasper. Paul probably wants an explanation for what happened a second ago, but I'm not sure I can give him one. I don't even know what really happened. I just spiraled and caused Major to come out. Today is just not my day.
