Two weeks went by. Claire had started doing homeschooling and going to therapy. She still slept next to her father. Claire was sleeping when she had a nightmare.

Claire was hanging out at SHIELD headquarters with Natasha, Clint, and her Dad. They were in the gym doing training.

All of a sudden, her surroundings changed and she woke up in a different place. When Claire woke up, she realized she couldn't move and when looked down, she saw that she was strapped down to a table. She looked around and saw that she was in the lab at the Hydra base. "No!" Claire said. "Where is my father!" No one answered her. "Where is he!" Claire continued to say. "And Natasha, Clint, Maria, and Nick!"

"I don't know who those other people are." A man said. "But you're father is dead."

"No he's not." Claire said. "He's alive."

"Steve Rogers died in 1945." The man said. Claire felt multiple things being injected in her. She screamed in pain. She continued to scream for her father, Natasha, Clint, Maria, and Nick. Anyone that would come and save her.

Claire woke up and bolted up in bed. She felt something touch her shoulder and and she jerked away. "Hey. Hey. It's ok." Steve said.

"Dad?" Co said.

"Yeah?" Steve said.

"Daddy." Claire said, hugging him.

"Are you ok, angel?" Steve asked.

"I had a horrible nightmare." Claire said.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Steve asked.

Claire pulled away to look at her father. "I was in the training room with you, Natasha, and Clint. And then, I was back in that Hydra base." Claire explained. "I remembered everyone, but it was like everything that happened after I woke up from the coma was a dream and wasn't real." A couple tears rolled down her face. "That's why I want to sleep to your room every night." Claire said. "Being close to you helps me know that you're real and not just a dream. I'm sorry if it bothers you."

Steve held Claire tightly and comforted her. "It doesn't bother me, sweetheart." Steve said. "I'm sorry if you thought it did." Claire started to cry a little bit. "Shh. You're ok. You're safe now." Steve said as he stroked her hair. "I'm right here, baby girl. I promise you I'm real and I'm not going anywhere." He continued to comfort her.

"Go back to sleep." Steve said after a minute. Claire nodded. Steve kissed her on the forehead and she laid down. They both went back to sleep.

Claire woke up the next morning. She saw that her dad wasn't in the bed or the room. She got out of the bed, going downstairs, walking into the kitchen. Her dad was making breakfast. "Good morning, sweetheart." He greeted her.

"Hey Dad." Claire said.

"How are you this morning?" Steve asked.

"Good." Claire said.

"Are you ok after last night?" Steve asked.

"Yeah." Claire replied. "Thank you for comforting me."

"Of course." Steve said. "I'll always be there for you."

Claire nodded. She saw what her dad was cooking. "You're making blueberry pancakes?" She asked.

"I figured I'd make your favorite since you had a rough night." Steve said.

"Thanks Dad." Claire said.

"You're welcome." Steve said. Claire grabbed the syrup from the pantry, set it on the table, and then started to make coffee for her and her father. When both Claire and Steve finished making breakfast, they set everything on the table and sat down.
