Quick note before you start reading, I started this when I was like 15, so the first few chapters might be a bit weak but trust me. It gets better.
I've also gotten better at writing since then so you'll notice a difference.
Currently going back through and editing some parts too.
Anyway enjoy!

The first monster attack was when I was 15 years old. I was minding my own business at the local library when a massive, what I later learned to be a cyclops, came and broke down the wall to get to me.I don't remember much after that attack, but in my mind I like to think I was so intimidating I scared them off.
I woke up in a cab with one other kid I vaguely remember seeing at school, we stopped at the entrance to a strawberry field. When I got out of the car, the kid in the car with me told me to follow him.
"Why? Where are we going?"
"Just- here." He hands me a folded piece of paper from my father.
"How did you get this." I ask sternly.
"Just open it." The kid looks exhausted, so as I walk, I open it.
It wasn't. It was a letter saying I'm going to a stupid summer camp so they could take care of me while he was away. Not another one.
When I got to the camp, it looked a-lot different then the other camps I went to. There were tons of cabins, none looked like the other but yet they all went together so well. There was also a ton of kids fighting with real swords. I thought that was really weird for a summer camp.
I was brought to a big farm house that was light blue with a white trim. When I walked into the house the first thing I noticed was a stuffed leopard head looking at me. Suddenly a short blonde boy ran up to me. His smile was a ray of sunshine. He looked at me with big hazel eyes full of excitement.
"Hi!I'm josh!" The boy beamed with happiness
"Uh hi." I was so overwhelmed with Josh's energy.
"Welcome to camp half blood! I will be giving you the tour!" He was now jumping up and down.
"But first you have to go see the orientation video. Just through that door. I'll be waiting for you when you're done." His energy seemed to die down which was concerning.
"Orientation video, kids fighting each other with swords? What kind of summer camp is this?" I joked.
"The orientation video will explain everything. And if you have any other questions after I will be happy to answer." Why was he being so nice to me?
I walked into the room and sat on the couch with another kid, he looked 7 or 8. The video told us that the Greek gods are real. I couldn't believe it. The video also said that my mom could be one too. It all seemed too weird to be true. My mom isn't a goddess, she left me and dad when I was a baby. But she was definitely there.
One girl stood out to me Annabeth Chase. The way she carried herself with confidence made me instantly jealous.I walked out of the room with a blank stare. Then I noticed the little kid beside me had the same expression. Poor kid, he was so young and to be dumped with all of this at such a young age. I felt bad for him.
