A creak in the floorboard alerted the frightened girl in the attic that someone was approaching slowly. She felt an energy but she just chalked that up to this new amount of power surging through her that she wasn't used to yet.

"Davina?" A voice called out softly behind the small girl causing her to swing around to the source.

"Hi Davina. I'm Liz." Liz's footsteps were light as she started approaching the girl who sat cross legged on the floor in the corner of the room. She sat down slowly trying to show Davina she wasn't a threat. "What are you drawing?"  Liz nodded to the paper in front of Davina and she quickly looked down at the picture in front of her body in question.

"I-I don't know." Davina suddenly backed away and stood up. She threw the pencil down onto the floor and wrapped her arms around herself. "I don't know what's happening to me. I ju-- I just get these feelings and the only way to calm them is to draw but I don't understand it. There's too many things racing in my head to make any of it out."

"Hey," Liz shot to her feet quickly too but didn't approach her. She simply smiled at her to let her know everything was okay. "That's okay. I can help you. We can figure it out."

Davina's eyes shot up and examined Liz's face. The energy feeling came forward again and before she could stop herself she whispered out, "What are you?"

"A friend." Liz responded as she kept the smile on her face. She disregarded the what in Davina's question thinking maybe she meant 'who' and held a finger up. "Scratch that. I'm thinking, with how much time I'll get to spend with you, we're going to be best friends."

Davina finally for the first time since Liz got there --hell, since the ritual-- smiled a genuine smile.

"Liz. Earth to Liz." A hand waving in front of my face brought me back to reality. My eyes snapped to the right side of me before going back to the glass clutched in my hand. I swirled the liquid around listening to the person sigh next to me.

"What's going on with you? You haven't spoken a word since you got home the other night. The last time you were like this--" I shot Cami a look and she stopped talking. As I looked back at the glass, she walked around me and towards the other side of the bar. I had to admit, Rousseau's was still a mess from everything that happened but I didn't really care at the moment. My plan was to come here and have a drink but with my luck Cami followed.

"You're not actually going to drink that, are you?" She asked beside me. I simply shrugged and raised the glass to my lips. I tipped the glass and gulped down the entire thing in one go. I slammed the glass back down and immediately reached over the counter for the bottle. "No way. One's enough."

"Camille." I shot out a warning and her eyes widened at my tone of voice. I'm not sure if she was surprised I finally spoke or what but she backed off and pulled out her phone.

I poured me another half glass and slouched over the counter. I swirled the liquid around again trying to shake off the memory and keep myself together at the same time.

"Sophie, the restaurant is an epic disaster... again. Do you think maybe you could come in today and--" Cami's voice stopped and I chuckled knowing damn well Sophie wasn't making an appearance anytime soon.

"Looks like I should've been here last night." I froze up at the new voice in the room and quickly downed my drink. I welcomed the burn of it and poured me another one knowing I was going to deal with more than I could handle today.

"Before you try anything, I'm on vervain." Cami warned.

"Yeah, Klaus mentioned you broke free of his compulsion. Good for you. Sophie around?"
