"Eddie ... wake up. Hey, you hear me?"

I yawned and covered my mouth sitting up. Evan was on my bed and I did not feel angry an more. Which was surprising news.

"What is it? And don't call me Eddie, it sounds weird."

"Kay Eddie."

I gave him a murderous glare and he backed off. He held a brown bag. I immediately knew what was inside. It was my favourite food from Wetzel Pretzels. Almond Crunch pretzels. I snatched the cover playfully and my brother obliged. I inhaled the huge pretzel in a gulp.

"Hey. About what happened down. Sorry. Mum and Dad felt kind of regretful for their attitude. They said they tried to change but their career was getting tough."

"Well, they deserved it and you could have backed me up."

"Edith. You will learn in life that when you start an argument you are not fighting for justice and looking brave. You simply sound silly and ridiculous. Believe me. When I look at you fighting for such things, I try hard not to laugh. I know these things are important to you but we can always talk in a calm and understanding way. Can't we, older sister?"

He leaned and kissed my forehead with affection. My mind spiralled back to the time when I had fallen from my bicycle and my knee was bleeding. Evan knew to stop me from crying and to erase the pain, he had to comfort me. He embraced me gently and I was shocked. It was the first time my brother had showed a kind gesture towards me.

I came back to the present and realised something very important. Well for me.

"You called me your older sister!"

"What, no!"

"Yes, you did!"

"I would never call you older sister. Cause you are the twin I love."

I hugged him and tucked myself into the bed covers. He closed the door with a 'thump'.
