taehyung really did want to talk, but it was hard to find where to start. he sat in the silence of so-hyun's living room and waited for her to come back with some tea.
she finally comes back and hands him a mug that has the most familiar smell
and taste. taehyung remembered how
much he used to love so-hyun's moms
tea, and this was obviously her recipe."thank you, sosi. it's delicious."
sosi? it sounded so familiar to so-hyun
but she couldn't pinpoint it."who is 'sosi'?"
sosi had been the nickname taehyung
called so-hyun as kids. he didn't mean
to call her that, but it was so normal for him, even after all these years."oh- sorry, i didn't mean to call you that. 'sosi' is what i used to call you as kids." he chuckled at all of the memories flowing back.
"you always refused to give me a nickname, saying that you just loved saying 'taehyung'."
she had a hard time believing that, but she went with it. "so, taehyung, are we the same age? you look a lot more mature than me."
"oh, it must be because of my unrealistically sharp jawline, haha. but, no, i'm not older than you. i'm 19 too, and my birthday is coming up in a couple weeks."
so-hyun rolled her eyes at his confidence. "mine is around that time too. i'm a little drained from today, do you think we could just hang out and watch a movie? we can talk more tomorrow."
taehyung was so happy that she had offered, since he didn't wanna leave her alone. "of course!"
for hours, until past midnight, all they did was watch rom-coms, one after another. so-hyun could feel herself dozing off, but she was way too tired to get into bed.
her head suddenly dropped onto taehyung's shoulder, startling him, but he smiled at the contact between them. it had been years since they had seen each other, but they are connecting again so fast.
before he knew it, taehyung was dozing off too and his head slowly lowered onto so-hyuns, layering themselves over one another on his shoulder.

the sun was bursting through the thin, white curtains as so-hyun starts so wake up. it was clear that she had been asleep for a very long time. looking around, she realized that she was in her bedroom and she checked her clock.
she gaped at her phone.
it was already 4 p.m.?! she stumbled out of her tangled blankets and out of her room into the kitchen.
taehyung was standing over the stove, cooking something that smelled like actual heaven. he was wearing so-hyun's apron, and she couldn't hold in her laugh.
"oh, you're awake? i'm making dumplings, i hope you like them. can't really remember."
"oh, i love dumplings, thank you. what have you been doing all day? i've been sleeping for a really long time."
taehyung didn't wanna admit that he had been up since 8 in the morning, playing games with his online friend jeongguk.
"i actually woke up around 1, so i've just been cooking, scrolling through insta, and stuff like that." taehyung started to take the dumplings out. "you okay? you want me to stay a little longer so we can talk? i don't wanna just brush off what happened tomorrow, i wanna help you through it."
so-hyun could almost feel his honest sincerity, and she really did appreciate it, but she wanted some alone time to try and pull her life back together.
"i appreciate it, i really do, but i could use some alone time to think about everything."
after they finished eating, taehyung and so-hyun exchanged numbers and he made his way home.
he couldn't stop thinking about how fast his heart started racing when the girl he missed so much had laid her head on his shoulder. she had always been the only one that could understand that he had flaws, and embraced them. everyone else only liked him because of his looks, and expected him to be perfect at everything.
she was never like that.
