drops of sweat were trickling down so-hyun's spine as she got to the door of taehyung's apartment. she knew that as soon as she goes through that door, there's no going back.

she's going to have to tell taehyung about the ghosts.

when she goes to knock on the door, taehyung has already swung it open and is smiling like a crazy guy. "how did you know i was here?"

taehyung chuckled. "i could hear you all hyperventilating all the way from my bedroom. come in."

so-hyun shyly walked over to his couch and sat on the edge of it. "taehyung, i have something to tell you, and i'm afraid you're not gonna believe me.."

when he heard that, he became extremely intrigued. "i won't believe you? i doubt that. i know when you're lying or not anyways."

"okay fine! i'll just get it over with...i-i can see- uhhhh.. i can se- hmmm.."

she felt taehyung's hand on hers and felt way more comfortable.

"okay. i can see ghosts."

the full silence if the room felt like it lasted forever.

"ever since i was 9, when my parents died, i could see ghosts. you'd think after ten years i would be used to them by now, but they still scare me. it scares me even more now, because i live alone and nobody is around to comfort me."

she took a breath, after she didn't breath at all during saying all of that.

"when you came over that night, i finally slept in peace. i didn't even think twice about closing my eyes and it felt so relieving. i had a feeling that you wouldn't care about me seeing ghosts, but as soon as i walked in here, i started to doubt my own words."

suddenly taehyung wiped a tear from his face. "you trust me enough to tell me that much? i am so grateful that you think i can comfort you i times where you feel lonely or afraid." he went in and hugged so-hyun, grabbing her lower waist and pulling her into him.

the two held onto each other for what seemed like hours, and they finally just both slumped back into the couch and sat in silence, until taehyung spoke up.

"so, you see ghosts. is there any in here right now?"

"no, there are never any ghosts around you, like ever. that's one of the things about you that make me feel so safe."

his smile lightened the entire living room as he just admired her words and looked into her deep eyes.

"so, you believe me? and you don't care?"

"of course i believe you. i told you before, i know when you're lying. the fact that you can see ghosts just makes you even more special."

the feeling so-hyun felt after hearing that was unexplainable, but enough to make her act out of her heart and not her mind for the first time in years.

she looked into taehyung's eyes, and pulled him into her, delicately placing her lips on his.

he pulled her into his lips more, placing his hands on her neck and the back of her head.

the familiar feeling of embrace came into so-hyun's mind as they tightened their grip on one another, like they we're afraid they would float away.

after a while, they just held each other and fell asleep on the couch in their arms, leaving both drifting to sleep with the feeling of safety and love to fill their dreams.
