Chapter 6

Pagkagising ko ay wala na si Treston sa tabi ko.

I check my phone and saw messages from Mama, Nanny Beth and One call from Theo. I replied them all and as for Theo, I texted him.

Naghilamos na ako and I change into my clothes. Lumabas na rin ako sa kwarto bringing my backpack.

"Good morning hija, how's your sleep?"

Napatigil ako sa paglalakad dahil sa boses. Nilingon ko siya at isang magandang babae na nasa mid 50's na ang edad nito.

"It's good.. Thanks for letting me stay for the night po." Sabi ko assuming she's Aunt Minda.

"Oh you're up! Aunt Minda, She's Hygia.. Treston's girl." Sabi ni Ivahr na pababa sa may hagdan.

I was about to open my mouth ng biglang dumating si Treston galing sa labas at naka topless lang ito. Why is he topless this early?

He went next to me and kissed my cheek.

"Good morning! You've met Aunt Minda hehe let's continue this talk over breakfast."

Hindi na ako masyadong nahiya dahil sobrang bait sakin ni Aunt Minda.
Nakikita ko kay Ivahr and Treston na they're very close to her. They both claim her as the favorite Auntie.

"Where did you sleep last night?" Sabi ni Aunt Minda while looking at Treston.

Tumikhim muna si Treston bago sumagot. "In my room of course, Ha-ha"

"Why the fuck are you laughing Treston? Why the fuck did you let a girl alone in her room!" Sabi ni Aunt Minda at binatukan si Treston.

Ivahr laughed. "Oh-oh cousin! Aunt Minda doesn't like that."

"I'm sorry for what Treston did Hygia Hija, I won't let this happen next time"

Oh my God. There will be no next time.

My face are probably red right now. This is so embarrassing.

"Oh, its okay Aunt Minda.. Uhm" I really don't know what to say. Come on Treston, help me!!! Wag kang ngumiti lang!

"You should have punch him in the face Aunt Minda." sabi ni Ivahr.

Hinatid na ako ni Treston at Ivahr sa school. I told them na may importante ito.

"Uhmm..Is this a goodbye?" Treston said.

Ivahr went out of the car para makapag usap kami ni Treston. Privately.

"Yes Treston I-" I didn't finished what I said..Instead I just hug him.

But..He's not hugging me back.

Lumabas na ako sa kotse and I heard Treston calling Ivahr.

"Let's go Ivahr"

"Are we not gonna wait for her? " nagtataka na sabi ni Ivahr. Hindi niya pala alam na Treston and I just met yesterday. We're not a thing.

"Thanks sa lahat Ivahr, I better go now." Sabi ko at pumasok na sa campus.

He'll forget me for sure, Hindi totoo lahat iyun. We'll forget each other soon.

Pinasundo ako ni Nanny Beth sa driver namin kanina.

She informed that Theo visited.

Tinawagan ko ito pero hindi niya ito sinasagot.

*Bzzzt*

From: Theo
My lady! I know you're back.. but as much I want spend my day with you, I cannot leave the ranch. We're on an important meeting. Catch up soon."

Yan ang laman ng text. Hindi ko alam pero nakaramdam ako ng pagkasaya nung text niya.

I type my reply and put away my phone.

*Bzzzt*

I helped Nanny Beth prepare snacks. Sinabi ko na din sa kanya na I'll be leaving this evening. Yun din kasi ang plano na once I have my papers, Uuwi na ako. I will just text dad later so they can fetch me tomorrow.

*bzzzt*

Tinignan ko ang cellphone ko dahil kanina pa ito nag v-vibrate.

Can I borrow you for a date?

Yan ang laman nang first message. I opened the second one and..

From: Baby
Just one date before we totally part ways. Just this one, Please?

I know this is Treston texting. When did he change his name on my contacts? Speed talaga yung taong yun.

I send him my address to him. A date won't harm, everything we have will end later.

I keep Nanny Beth busy by asking her to ready my things for my flight. Nagtaka din siya dahil may lakad ako at iba ang sundo. She didn't pry nor ask. I know she will grilled me with questions later..

I'm wearing shorts and plain pink vneck match with my white converse.
Dinala ako ni Treston sa isang park na I've never been to kaya sobrang na amaze ako.

The park is full of people, some are sitting on the ground and some are just strolling.

May batang lumapit and he's selling us tulips. Treston bought four tulips and he give it to me. Awee!

"Est-elle ta petite amie? Pourquoi n'achetez-vous pas les tulipes rouges pour elle.." Is she your girlfriend? Why are you not buying the red tulips for her..

"Bientôt. Je vais acheter toutes vos tulipes rouges. " Soon. I'll buy all your red tulips.

Dinala na ako ni Treston sa isang tahimik na lugar. May walking curve bridge dun at may river below. Malapit pa din ito sa park.

Nilagyan niya muna ng panyo ang upuan ko. He doesn't want me dirty because I'm wearing shorts.

Medyo dumilim na ang lugar. At nagkwentuhan lang kaming dalawa.

"Do you know that there's fireworks display at 8pm? People claimed that the person with you during the fireworks will be your last. "

Yes I know that claims. I just don't want to add sa kwento niya.

"Will you be there for me?" he asked.

Hindi ako nakasagot at tumawa siya ng mahina. Hindi rin kami makakaabot sa fireworks. I still have flight to catch up.

"It's a joke.. You can laugh now." Sabi niya.

I didn't respond pa rin..

We enjoy the silence and feel each others presence. No awkward moments anymore..

"Treston, I'll be leaving Monte Carlo tonight. Let's end everything here."

"Oh.. Right.. "

*Another silence*

"Are you going to forget me, Gia? cause..I will never forget this, I will never forget you. "

I look at him and I catch him already staring at me.

We stared at each other and I cry and hug him.

"I think we need to forget each other, Treston..I'm sorry "

Both of us are silent sa byahe pauwi. My heart is so heavy that I hold his hand very tight.. For a day we acted like a couple..

I throw three of the four pink tulips in the river he gave before I went home.

I heard the story of flowers thrown in the river. Maybe it's true.
