Chapter: 6 You Gave Me A Headache

"I'm looking for a Hisoka Morow."

"I'm sorry but we can't give away information on our fighters."

"Listen it's important-"

"That's what they all say, " she smiled.

'I'm going to kill her, " you thought.

"Okay, you have about five seconds to tell me where to go, " you let off a small but menacing amount of aura," before I slit your throat."

"I-I'm sorry but I don't know that information."

"Well, I guess you better figure it out, " you smiled.

She scrambled to her computer desperately trying to find what you wanted.

"That won't be necessary~."

You turned, " how did you know I was here."

"With that little display, I think everyone knows your here~."

"Well, I just wanted to tell you that I don't need your help anymore."

"Is that so~?"

"Yes, Chrollo contacted me, " you sighed, " but I'll be staying here for a while."

"Why didn't you just call~?"

"My phone died also, " you looked away from Hisoka's face, " I wanted to thank you in person."

"Why thank me~?"

"I'm sure without you he would have never contacted me, " you responded, " especially since the only ones to have my personal number are my brothers and yourself."

"So why stay here~?"

"Well, I don't really have a place to stay till he contacts me again, " you thought back to your mother who surely won't calm down anytime soon, " also I'm out of money at the moment, kinda spent all on food for my baby."

"Ah yes, that flying animal, " he chuckled, " how did you ever get a beast like that~?"

"You're asking too many questions and she's not a beast."

"Well if you no longer need me, I'll be on my way." Hisoka disappeared.

"Rude, that man gives me a headache," you turned back to the receptionist, " I want to sign up for a fight, you can help with that right?"

"Yes miss, right away miss, " she scrambled back to her computer.

She told you your number and that you would be fighting soon. She also gave you the rundown of how the tower works.

Now you sat watching others fight, " they're mostly men, " you said a little disappointed. You always fought guys all your targets or any kind of adversary you had faced had been male. Hell, you grew up with mostly boys, your only sister was kept away for... reasons. Your mother didn't count she was well, your mother. You had no female friends..wait you don't have male friends either.

"I don't have friends."

'Sure I'm an assassin but even Illumi has one friend,' you thought to yourself, ' hell Killua has friends!'

"Woah!"

Just then a young woman came crashing down the steps near where you sat, one of the items she was carrying hit a man sitting a few seats away.

"Shit, I'm so sorry, please forgive me!"

She scrambled to pick up her things, which consists of mostly what looked like test tubes and jars.

"Whatever."

She bowed her head, " I'm sorry."

'This is your chance, make a friend!'

One of her jars rolled over to you, picking it up you brought it to her.

"Hey that was quite the spill, " she took the jar from your hand, " are you alright?"

"Yes I'm fine, " she looked at you as you proceeded to grab the bottles, " wait I know you, you're (L/n)'s daughter!" You jumped cutting yourself on a broken piece of glass.

"Wait how do you-" you were interrupted by a woman on the loudspeaker.

"Miss (Y/n) please report to arena number 22."

Looking down at the piece of glass a purple liquid mixed with the blood of your hand.

"It... hurts, what the fuck did you do to me!" You turned towards the girl but she was gone.

"Again miss (Y/n) to arena number 22."

You had been tortured and poisoned yet this was a small wound and it caused your body to ache. Standing you made your way to the arena.

'It hurts'

'We're hurting'

'No more'

'Stop it'

"This floor is where we assess your abilities, begin!"

'Kill them'

'Just knock them out stay focused'

Your opponent stood in front of you waiting for you to make the first move. You stumbled, a dark shadow crossed over your face.

'Come on relax let me take over'

'No'

'You can barely stand let me take over'

'No'

'Let me take over you stubborn child!'

"I will not lose to a damn voice!"

Your opponent charged at you, fist raised. Jumping up into the air you landed a swift kick to the side of their head sending them flying out of the arena. You barely landed on your feet as your head pounded and your body burned. You walked out of the stadium like area and to God knows where before your eyes landed on a female form.

"You-" your body trembled and your vision blurred.

She only laughed at you.

'No no no no!' You thought, ' I'm going to faint I need help!' You put all of your energy into your aura giving off one final wave.

A blur of black was the last thing you saw before blacking out.

'Am I going to die?'

Sorry, this took a while, I took the past weeks to write multiple chapters since my work as become more sporadic than ever. I want to make sure if I couldn't sit and write I would have chapters for you guys. Away thanks for reading and stay safe❤
