you always hated your brown eyes
you told me they looked like nothing
and went on about blue eyes
how they reminded you of the ocean
and how green eyes
reminded you of the beautiful summer grass
but I couldn't help
staring into your eyes
just wondering
where you got that sparkle
how the light shines
so brightly in you soul
how crazy of you
to think your eyes aren't special
