Song: Fantasy - Alina Baraz & Galimatias
Here I am, in the middle of this world; depressed, and worried.
Life's burdens are weighing heavily on my back.
I feel like Atlas, who holds the whole world up with his muscular, toned body.
I'm the opposite of him, I'm not muscular, or toned, or anything special for that matter.
I mean, I'm nobody who's stories should be told about, but this is my story, and I will tell it.
It's not gonna get popular or anything, but I just want to get this out there and off of my chest.
The only reason I'm doing this is for one goal: to let you know that life is good and wonderful, even through it's tough challenges.
******
Hi, my name is Amber, I'm 14 years old, and I am submerged in a sea of depression.
Well, I was.
Before summer started.
You know, cause summer is a happy season.
I'm in ninth grade at The Monroe Medical Academy for Young Achievers.
There's a lot I have to tell you.
It's about my life, and about it's obstacles.
So I used to have this crush.
His name was John.
We never dated or anything.
Over the summer, on the first day, exactly, I met someone, someone I can't live without.
You'll find out about that later, though.
Turns out, I thought John was everything to me; the perfect guy, the perfect smile, eyes, hair, skin, personality, everything, but then once in a while someone else comes along and treats you better than the last person or people did.
This is called 81 Days of Summer because something happened each day.
I'm not going to give you a point of view on everyday, just on the important ones.
I mean, not that every day isn't important, because every day really is.
God woke you up with a reason so you could live your life.
But anyways, I'm only documenting some days.
🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊
The chemistry between John and I was pretty strong, but the last night we saw each other before summer was the best one..
The next day he broke up with h̸e̸r̸.
Her.
She's the one who caused our thing to abruptly stop.
I trusted her,
She was one of my best friends.
I told her everything.
But she ruined it.
