Your life isn't yours if you always care what others think.

Our first class was Mr. Brown. When I walked in and saw him I took the accusation that he was nice. He looked at me and my brother with a smile and waved. I slightly sighed and took a seat. No one really noticed me. But they noticed my brother. Most moved seats which lead us to sit in the front. I sat next to Jack and Auggie sat at the very end which was next to me.

"Hi. Again." Jack said to me awkwardly. I waved and looked at the teacher. In the corner of my eye, I saw Jack sneaking looks at me. Good looks, I guess you could say.

Mr. Brown quieted the class and began teaching. "Hello everyone. I am Mr. Brown." As he said that he wrote something on the board in chalk. PRECEPT. He turned around and looked at each and every one of us.

"Okay, everybody write this down at the very top of the very first page in your English notebook." He said. Everyone did as he said. I mainly just started drawing in my notebook.

They all started talking about precepts and what they mean before I zoned out and finished my drawing.

"That's really good." I heard someone say. I turned my head to see Jack. "It is." He said. I looked at him with a small glare and shook my head. "No it's not." I bluntly said. I saw he was taken aback but he looked down and continued writing.

"Why don't we tell each other about ourselves." Mr. Brown suggested. "Why don't we start with Julian." He said and Julian stood up. "A few of you know each other. But the rest of you, I guess, are new to the school. Okay, so everyone think of two things you want other people to know about you."

Julian nodded. "So my name is Julian. And the number one thing I'd like to tell everyone about myself is that I just got Battleground Mystic for my Wii ant it's totally awesome. And the number two thing is that we got a Ping-Pong table this summer."

Mr. Brown nodded. "Very nice. Does anyone have any questions?" A kid spoke up. "Is Battleground Mystic sing player or multiplayer?" I rolled my eyes at this question. Which caught the attention of Mr. Brown. "Not those types of questions."

I knew he was going to call on someone else because he looked at me and my brother. We both shook our heads. He nodded to come up. I sighed and walked up to the front of the class with my brother following behind me.

"Uh. Hi. My name is August. I, um have a two sisters named Via and Nora."-He said and pointed at me-"and I have a dog named Daisy. And, um that's it." He said. Now (unfortunately) it is my turn.

"My name is Nora. Um, I can speak 3 other languages and I have a British accent." I saw every kid look at me with curiosity. I looked at the floor uncomfortably.

"Very interesting. Does anyone have any questions for them?" Mr. Brown asked. Julian raised his hand. "I have a question for both of them." He said. "Um. August, why do you have that Padawan thing?" I saw Mr. Brown give him a confused look. "What is a Padawan thing?" He asked.

"It's from Star Wars." Julian responded. "A Padawan is a Jedi apprentice."

I was a little suprised that Julian knew so much about Star Wars. "Interesting. Are you guys into Star Wars?" Mr. Brown asked. Auggie nodded and I shook my head. I just wanted to go back to my desk and for no one to notice me.

"Who is your favorite character?" Julian asked. With me knowing my little bro, he thinks that Julian isn't so bad. But to me, he gave me a toxic vibe when I see, hear, or am near him.

"Jango Fett." My brother responded.

"What about Darth Sidious?" Julian asked. My mouth was wide open. "I find that very insulting." I said with almost clear anger in tone. "Just because my brother is 'different' from you, doesn't mean you have to be a jerk to him! He has a souls and a heart. Which is apparently something you don't have! So if you want to be a jerk to my brother, you might as well kiss your 'luxury life' goodbye!" I shouted.

Everyone was silent. Gawking at me. "Ms. Pullman. You do not speak to anyone that way. Please go to the office." Mr. Brown said. I glared at Julian, who was looking terrified right now.

I stomped out the door. As I exited the room, I looked back and saw my brother, he looked at me and smiled. I put on a faint smile and walked to the principal's office.
