Bella, the ghost, was Ella's twin sister.
Many years ago, as immature and naive teens, Ella and Bella were at the back of their house fighting over a petty phone call from some guy they both liked. They were actually dating the same person at the same time!
Ella got mad because of this. She thought her sister was trying to steal the guy from her. Bella felt the same way, too, and so they fought. However, when Ella tried to snatch Bella's phone, Ella pushed her sister, not knowing that Bella would suddenly be stabbed by the carabao's horn.
Ella felt guilty, afraid and traumatized after Bella's death, which led her to forget her sister's whole existence. And knowing that if she ever remembered her sister, Ella would have break downs from time to time. Thus, her family decided not to mention Bella or the incident ever again just to help with Ella's recovery. She was also made to live somewhere else in the meantime until she left for the US to work...
So for years, with no memories of her sister at all, Ella continued living as if everything was just normal...
