Chapter-2

ASTRA'S POV

The rain didn't stop as I drove along the road and I rarely spotted any person along the way.

It was around eleven am but it looks like the clock might strike six pm any minute from now. Needless to say, I am quite enjoying the weather because it defines my mood. My life.

Eliana begged me to meet up with her in a coffee shop after I'm done with my graveyard trip. I couldn't decline since she is my one and only friend.

I've been an introvert for whole seventeen years of my life. And to be noted, others find me creepy whenever I try to have a conversation with them. During those days, only Eliana talked with me and she says that I'm just weird but in a good way.

But regardless, she is the most important person in my life after my mommy and dad. I can't count Myra- my stepmother into this list yet because I'm not so close with her.

I soon turned my car towards the parking area when I reached the café. A ding sound was heard when I opened the door, which grabbed the attention of two to three people which included Eliana. She furiously waved at me while I just raised my hand till my chest to acknowledge her greeting.

I walked over the table, at the corner of the café, where we could get a good view of the entire road.

I placed myself on the seat and removed my bag from my shoulder to keep it aside of the table.

''So, are you feeling okay?'' Eliana asked sensitivity as she placed her tiny hands onto mine. I reassured her with a warm, genuine smile and responded.

''Of course.''

She smiled back and called out the waiter. A girl with electric green hair, which is probably dyed came towards our table while she was busy chewing her gum.

''What can I get for you lovely ladies?'' She asked.

Eliana soon stated ''Pumpkin latte sounds good for me.''

I then looked onto the menu ''Hot maccha chocolate with mac n cheese for me please.''

She nodded as she wrote out orders and walked away. Eliana then asked.

''How about we have our girl's night today?''

That is something I need.

I then nodded furiously at her and she giggled.

In less than 3 minutes, our order came out we consumed it. Delicious.

We soon left the café and walked over my car and placed ourselves inside. Then i drove towards my home while Eliana called her parents to inform them that she will be staying at my place.

After a solid 15 minutes ride, we reached my home and I turned my car to park it at the garage. But soon enough, I spotted another unfamiliar car.

Do we have a guest? I thought to myself.

We both walked towards the garage entry and then to the front door. I rang the bell, waiting for my dad or Myra to open it. But we were greeted by a brunette girl, who was really beautiful. Her greyish-blue eyes really seemed to stand out.

She smiled at us and greeted ''Hey! You're Astra, right?''

I nodded and her smile widened ''Nice to meet you! I'm Mirza!''

''Oh...hello.'' I murmured. Soon enough, Myra walked towards the front door and saw us.

''I guess you both met each other before i could introduce. Well, this is Mirza. My brother's daughter. Practically, your cousin.'' She exclaimed.

Eliana and I walked into the house. I nodded while Eliana smiled at Mirza and already started making conversation with her.

Myra walked towards me while I observed my best friend talking with her.

''She will be staying here tonight and tomorrow until we come back. Your dad and I am going to meet your mom and we might directly go to my hometown.'' She stated.

''Alright.'' That is all i said.
