⚡️Asher's Pov⚡️

I took a deep breath before walking through the front doors of my new school. I couldn't believe I was actually in a new school, where people didn't refer to me as the lame kid, who did everything perfectly. I prayed to God that I wouldn't get bullied here as badly as my old school. That was the whole reason I moved schools in the first place. That and my dad's new job. I met my homeroom teacher, Ms. Godfrey. She seemed..nice. A little dramatic, but nice. She was introducing me to the class, and I felt my neck turn red. Thankfully, the kids were busy on their phones, probably texting each other. Uh oh! What if they were texting each other about me? Calm down Asher, you can do this. No need to be nervous. I tried concentrating on what the teacher was saying, but a million thoughts were swarming around my head.

Just then,a really pretty girl walked in. She wore a yellow tank top, with black shorts and black vans. Her hair was a light brown and parted through the middle. I couldn't help but stare at her.

The teacher was arguing with her for being late. The girl looked bored out of her skull. Instead of giving her a detention, Ms. Godfrey told her that she would have to be my welcome buddy for a month. It was then that she noticed me. I felt the red creeping up my neck again. I timidly waved at her and she smiled.

Ms. Godfrey told me that this girl, Jullliana, would be showing me around the school.

"Hi Julliana." I said.

"Please, call me Annie." She said.

Then Ms. Godfrey told me to take a seat next to her. Annie sat all the way in the back row. I would have much rather preferred to sit up front, but I'm not complaining. Annie just day dreamed throughout most of the class. I occasionally looked at her. Wait, no, that sounded creepy..But I couldn't help it! She was so pretty. I couldn't believe that she was going to be my welcome buddy for a whole month!

I hope I don't make a complete fool of myself in front of her though...
