~Jeno~

After walking around with Yeri for our first two periods, lunch came. I decided to walk her to Sooyoung, who was also rushing around trying to find her since Yeri wasn't in her normal classes.

As soon as Sooyoung caught sight of Yeri, the eldest ran to her lover and embraced her in a tight hug.

Fortunately, Yeri had calm down, but throughout our walk she tried to take me to the pool so we could investigate the "accident". I told her multiple times that we weren't detectives, and that she was completely unqualified, but I was still worried that she'd get in trouble.

Soon after, I saw Xiaojun using his speed to get to me. He grabbed onto my arm. "Hyung, let's go talk by the garden." The elder told, sending the girls a quick smile before pulling me away in a flash.

I allowed myself to be dragged, but I was already dreading this conversation. Is a normal, unproblematic day too much to ask?! I thought, silently cursing.

Once we reached the side of the school where the small garden stood, Yangyang and Jisung were already waiting for us. Yangyang sat silently on the bench, with his foot was tapping at a rapid speed while Jisung was standing next to him with his arms crossed.

Yangyang made eye contact with me, and grabbed me by the shoulders which yanked me away from Xiaojun's hold. "Vampires! It's all vampires!" Yangyang cried, pulling at his hair.

I pushed away the younger's arms, and took a step back. "Wait, we can't just say that it was vampires who did this." I stated, straightening my uniform.

The three looked to me with dumbfounded expressions. Xiaojun dragged his hands on his face, and stared at me in disbelief. "Jeno, please listen to what you just said." He said. "What human would go around murdering people and placing two holes on their neck?"

Jisung pursed his lips, and placed a hand on his neck nervously. "Well, I mean, I did watch this one mystery show..." He trailed off, clearing his throat once he finished as if he didn't just reference a show in the middle of a serious situation.

Xiaojun blinked, and turned away from us. The elder began to pace through the garden, brushing his hand through his hair multiple times as he thought to himself.

I watched the elder, eyes darting in every direction he turned. After a few minutes of the agonizing silence I grew annoyed by the situation. I felt my hands go up to my head in order to massage my aching temple. Yangyang had even gone back to sitting and tapping his foot which added to my irritation.

"Can all of you just stop moving!" I yelled.

Everyone did stop their motions, but they stared at me with confused expressions. Xiaojun turned to me with a raised eyebrow. "Why're you so angry?" He asked, seeming agitated himself.

I blinked, thinking of my piling reasons as to why I felt so terrible. I still hadn't fully processed the fact that one of my own classmates had died. I hadn't processed that Xiaojun, Yangyang and Jisung were still here at my school, and I still hadn't process that the vampires literally declared war against the human race just a few days ago! I might be a werewolf, but I'm still just a teenager.

I let my face drop, too tired to keep glaring or furrowing my brows in thought. I sat down next to Yangyang and placed my head in my hands. I wish this was all just a dream. I thought.
