Chapter 34

I paced around Johnny's office, brushing my hair back so many times I began to look disheveled. The words of the vampire kept ringing through my head, and I was on the brink of going insane.

I had too many questions. Is what the vampire said true? Why would Jieun side with the vampires? Why did none of them tell me? What really happened all those years ago between my sister and Jaemin?

I voiced my thoughts to Johnny, but he seemed more stressed than I was. Firstly, I had transformed into my wolf which was a shock to both him and I. Since it's been awhile, it took me about an hour to regain control and go back to being a human, but after that I was brought back to 'The House' for an interrogation of what happened.

Johnny stood behind his desk, eyes trailing behind me. "Jeno can you please calm down so we can talk about this." He said, getting anxious that I wouldn't stop moving.

I sent the leader a look. "What do you mean calm down?!" I exclaimed. "I just found out that the last two years of my life might've been a complete lie, and you're telling me to calm down!"

Johnny rubbed his temples. "No, I just need you to listen-"

"I want the truth Johnny!" I interrupted.

The elder couldn't get mad at me for raising my voice, he knew I was suffering. So, Johnny began to explain, sucking in a deep breath. "It's true that Jaemin killed Jieun, but he had a reason. She mated with a vampire who convinced her to join their cause, the whole reason why we're fighting." He said.

I furrowed my brows. "But I thought she didn't have a mate." I stated in confusion.

"None of us knew," Johnny continued. "She only told Jaemin since she planned to kill him-"

"Kill him?!" I repeated in shock, looking to the elder with wide eyes to see if what he said was right. "Why would she wanna do that?!"

The leader grabbed me by the shoulders, startling me with his sudden action. "Will you just shut up and listen!" He shouted, narrowing his eyes.

With a huff, I complied with his order. None of this makes sense. I thought.

Releasing his grip, Johnny let out a sigh. "Jieun worked for the vampires because of her mate, and she shared their views. This revolution would've started years ago if her plan worked, but it didn't... since Jaemin... killed her." He said the last part a bit hesitantly.

A shiver went down my spine, remembering my point of view of that day. "What was she planning?" I asked.

Johnny stared at me for a few seconds, lost in his own thoughts. Having to relive the day was hard for all of us. This time I waited for the elder to finally speak, being as patient as I could be.

"It was the lemonade." He let out.

If this were any other situation his words would've been funny, but instead it confused me even more. "What?" I asked.

Johnny blinked back to reality when he heard my voice. Standing up straight, the elder continued. "On that day she had made lemonade for all of us, and was going to poison us. Jaemin noticed something off about the drink and he found the poison. When he found out, she threatened him with a vile she had. The betas investigated the whole thing and found he was right." He explained.

I furrowed my brows, trying to wrap my head around the new information. Even if the new truth was hard to comprehend, I still had one more question. Clenching my fists, I looked to Johnny. "Why didn't any of you tell me up until now? Where you gonna let me hate Jaemin until we died?" I asked, now becoming frustrated at the thought.

"Of course not!" Johnny exclaimed. "But Jaemin told us to keep this from you."

I shook my head. "Why would Jaemin want me to hate him?" I questioned, feeling bitterness at the mention of my mate.

The leader's face fell. "He wanted you to have a good memory of your sister since she was your last blood-family." He muttered.

I felt a sharp sting radiate through my chest, and surge to my ears. Jaemin showed empathy even if he knew he was going to suffer in the end. That's not fair! I mentally shouted, feeling my throat close.

I stepped away from Johnny, my back harshly colliding with a wall, making all the picture frames jump in their place. I slid down the wall, sitting on the floor in a daze. "I can't believe this." I whispered, holding my head in my hands. "I hated Jaemin all this time."

I clenched my fists, a surge of frustration and guilt rushing into me. I felt my eyes get misty, so before I cried I buried my head in my arms. What am I supposed to do now? It'll be impossible to apologize. I've made his life a living hell for all these years. What the fuck is wrong with me? I thought.

Johnny saw my wilted state, and made his way over to comfort me with a hug. He carefully wrapped his arms around me, making sure not to squeeze too tight, afraid I might break into a tsunami of tears. After a few minutes of silence, the elder's phone rang.

Petting my hair, Johnny stood and went over to answer. "What's up?" He asked to the other line. Not even a second later, his eyes widened. "What?!" He shouted, making me look up.

I sniffled. "What's wrong?" I let out.

The leader shook his head, pulling at his hair. "This is all wrong. The vampires are attacking in the city right now?! All of them?!" He cried.

And we've reached the climax lads. This was a short, but much needed, chapter.

Literally......... wtf is Eternally. I can't listen to the song the same anymore. I can't sleep anymore. Yeonjun's apparently dead. The cat keeps getting creepier. Wtf is going on!!! That shit MAD TRIPPY!! AND IM STILL WAITING ON THEORIES FROM MY THEORY CHANNEL!!

Secondly, MARÍA!! Imagine titling the song after yourself. Only powerful people can do that. Hwasa did that. What'd she do? That! That song was so smooth like her. She needs to calm down on the sexy or else she's gonna destroy the entire human population. She slayed once more. How?! Because she a talented queen that's how!

My man WOODZ. His song was also fire! I absolutely loved the new MV. It was perfect and a vibe. Truly one of my favorite works from the talent Cho Seungyoun.

And finally we have the summer bop I was waiting for from AB6IX. It was a very good song, but I was just super depressed listening to it. I think you guys can relate. But let's focus on the positive which is that it was a phenomenal song! They all look amazing and it was fun to listen to.

Also when tf is CIX gonna come out with their song because according to my calculations it should've happened already. Did something happen??

Now let me take a moment to say happy birthday to one of the greatest idols I know and love. Happy international birthday to Lee Taeyong, who I hope never reads this story lol. I need all of you to love and appreciate him. If you don't you can unfollow me right now no cap. Taeyong is one of the nicest and most caring idol I know, even if it is just through a screen. He's showed so much unparalleled kindness, and shows that we need more Taeyong's. He's such a hard worker, such a talented man, such a beautiful man, and I want nothing but the absolute best for him. I hope he takes this time to finally catch up on some R&R. If you can't tell I'm in love with Tae lmao
