~Jisung~

"Jeno!" I shouted, watching as the elder fell to the floor. I tried running to help him, but Jaemin quickly held me back, and placed a hand on top of my mouth.

I struggled in his hold, but Jaemin held me tight, and shushed me.

I noticed how Chenle turned from his place next to the collapsed Jeno, and locked his eyes to the classroom we were in. However, before he could start investigating, a group of three people appeared, coming from the shadows.

One of them snickered, flashing their pointed teeth. My eyes widened, realizing that the group were vampires. Now, I was even more rushed to go save Jeno and Chenle.

I managed to break free of Jaemin's hold. "Jisung no!" The latter whisper shouted, reaching out for me.

Just as I went to grab the doorknob and burst out of the room, the vampires words stopped me.

"Well done Chenle! You're even more impressive than I imagined." The vampire complimented, letting out a giggle. Chenle didn't respond, nor thank the vampire.

My hands began to shake, and I stepped away from the handle. No... I thought, accidentally backing up into a desk. I lost my balance and fell to the floor. Jaemin managed to catch me before I landed, so the two of us sat in the cold classroom listening to the conversation outside.

I held my head in my arms. This can't be happening! I thought. There's no way Chenle would betray Jeno! How could he?!

I felt a low rumbling, and I glanced up to find Jaemin, eyes bright yellow and narrowed. It seemed like he was also holding himself back from going out.

The vampire raised his hand, causing Chenle to flinch in his stance. Tilting his head, the vampire's hand landed to give a pat on Chenle's head. "Oh, Chenle, we aren't going to hurt you. You've done a great job, you deserve a little praise." The vampire said with a smile.

Chenle narrowed his eyes, and looked up to the latter. "Now that I've done my part, you better stick to yours. I'm not gonna hand him over for nothing." Chenle retorted, pushing the vampire's hand down.

Rolling his eyes, the vampire's smile faded. "Yeah, yeah," He began, waving Chenle off. "Jeno for the safety of the school and all that bullshit. We got it."

Sticking out his hand, the vampire turned to Chenle, waiting for a shake of his hand. When the younger cooperated, the vampire tugged his arm, and brought Chenle close. "You're just lucky we're in a rush or else you, along with the rest of your little friends at this wretched school would've died already." The vampire said, digging his nails into Chenle's hands.

The latter winced, are tore his hand away from the vampire, only for more blood to splatter. With the new scent in the air, the other two vampires stared at Chenle's hand with gluttonous gazes, but their leader stopped them from approaching the younger, much to the vampires dismay.

Smirking, the leader spoke. "Don't forget, when the time comes, we'll return. Be relieved that you've stopped us for now." He said.

With a snap of his fingers, the vampires grabbed Jeno and made their way out of the school without another word.

Waiting a few moments longer, Chenle let out a shaky breath, and clutched his hand.
