Chapter 7

“We’re coming in town, lovey!” Niall’s mum beamed through the speaker of his phone.

“Uh… um, no- what?” Niall asked quickly, trying to recover from the horrible shock he had just received.

“I said we’re coming to visit you!” She repeated. He could practically hear her smile from the other line.

“Oh… And uh, why is this?” he questioned quickly, feeling his breath quicken a bit.

“Cause we haven’t seen you in months Niall! It’s almost been a year!” She reminded, making Niall frown.

“Yeah… Yeah, true. So um, when are you coming?” He asked, squinting and rubbing his forehead with his hand roughly.

“Tomorrow!” She chirped, causing Niall’s eyes to practically pop out of his head. “Alright mummy. I’ll see you tomorrow, yeah?” He said quietly.

“You bet you, love!” She said before ending their phone call.

‘Harry, I have horrible news.-Nialler’ Niall typed quickly before sending it to Harry.

‘Okay… what’s the news?-Haz’

‘… Make sure you’re sitting down. My mum and dad are coming to visit…-Nialler’

‘HAHAHAHAHA! Nope, nope, nope, you are ON YOUR OWN with that one buddy.-Haz’

‘No!! Please Hazza, I need moral support with this kind of situation!-Nialler’

‘Fuck no. Your parents wouldn’t want to meet me anyway.-Haz’

‘Psh, yes they would! Just pleeeaaassseee, be here tomorrow by like noon.-Nialler’

‘Fine… you owe me, you dufus.-Haz’

Niall closed his phone with a quick sigh, slightly smiling. It was still going to suck, but at least it would be better with Harry.

Now, don’t mix anything up here. Niall loves his family! But with some…. Things, he found out recently about himself, he knows he’ll just end up spilling it. Niall had an absolutely horrible problem, where whenever he didn’t want to say something to someone, he did the complete opposite.

Examples:

The time he told Harry he was cute when they were hanging out at an old park in Harry’s neighborhood. (Harry’s response was ‘Haha…what?’)

The time he told his mom he had his first kiss with a girl in his class in the 6th grade. She had a spaz attack.

The time he told his dad he thought a guy that worked at Target was cute. His dad’s response was literally, ‘mmm.’

And many, MANY more.

So he knew. He just KNEW that as soon as his parents entered the home he would just spill everything.

The next day, as soon as it was 11:47, Niall heard a loud knock. His feet were practically shaking, and he felt dizzy. They were really early, and Harry wasn’t even here. But when he opened the door to the same familiar curls and smile, he let out a breath he hadn’t even realized he was holding in.

“Morning Nialler!” Harry chimed, walking in a plopping down on the couch as if he owned the place.

“Morning Haz… “Niall said groggily, sitting down next to Harry with a ‘thud’.
