"Tell us what happened, (Name)." Allura stood before me as we were in the kitchen. Avoiding the question, I grabbed my goo and sat at the table. Silence filled the room until the door slide opened and Shiro walked in, immediately sensing the tension.

"Allura," Shiro said in almost a questioning manner, this leading to Allura sighing.

"(Name) you can't stay quiet about this forever."

"Oh, but I can," I sassed back, " I've stayed quiet longer than you can ever imagine." Again silence fell.

Shiro sighed, having some idea of what touchy topic Allura was trying to push, " Allura," Shiro drew her attention to himself, "The Galran ships are a dangerous place. Both physically and mentally... do open a wound you can't close." And with his solemn words he turned back to the door and left the dining area completely. His words as if striking Allura painfully. I finished up my goo and cleaned my dish, setting it aside on a dry rack.

Allura stare at my back as I faced away from her, leaning over the sink. "(Name)..." Her voice cracked half way through my name.

I could tell that her tears were welling up within her eye, as I continued to stare forward. "I'm fine Allura. I was born a fighter, and I will continue to fight on. For them." My meaning may not have crossed to her, and she probably didn't know what I was talking about as I left the room, but I did. Them. The ones who have fallen before me. Altea. My family. They were ended so Voltron may begin again. Their sacrifices, their deaths... will not be fruitless. With their spirits as our guide, we will save this universe from the fear the Galra have inflicted upon it. We will rise and snuff out the flames the Galra set behind them. We will be the victors.

The quiet whisper of the house was shook by a roar. The roar, loud and earsplitting, woke a child from there sleep. Shining (eye color) eyes widen as they breathed heavily, she knew that roar, 'Daddy?'

Sheets thrown up into the air as the small feet ran down the stairs and slammed the back door opened as another roar split her ears opened. Eyes wide as the green was changing colors right in front of her. 'Red? But...' the little girls thoughts swirled as tan fur was left in pieces within the  now red grass. A growl broke her stare on the ground and brought it up to the sound, a male lion before her stood hunched. Enough with the hunch, the lion was still taller than the little girl. Green sparks within the air around the male lion and looking below the male lion the little girl found the source of all the red. A female lion lay on the ground blood flowing from three shots, one in the shoulder, another into the stomach, and the last straight through the heart. "M-mommy?" The child whimpered softly.

The male lion's ear raised and his face whipped around to gaze into the child's eyes "GO!" The voice yelled with the girl's mind as green magic sharped from under the animal's eyes, a roar rose from the male after the command. The child's eyes already running with tears-

BANG!

The sound rang in the girl's ears longer than the roars of her family prior, she vision blurred out everything except the falling form before her. As if time had slowed only for her as her father fell and his body hit the grass just like her mother's was now. His body kicked up some dust from the dirt under him. Silence fell as the men, the Altean men, before her laughed into the air, with no care in the world in what they just did. The three years old girl looked into the night sky as the men stopped laughed, they walked to the dead female and tied her back paws together. They pulled her into a spot that wasn't red and made it red by their actions.

CRACK!

The female lion made no noise as the man smashed her skull in, the child looked down from the sky at the sound. Eyes filled with horror, but that didn't last long. Hot flames burst from her eyes and a roar, beyond the ones of the lions before her, cracked like lightning in the air. A surge of green energy knocked all the man over, magic sharps whipped in the air around the little girl as her form changed. Soft skin turned to green scales. Eyes of (eye color) turned to slits of black with a emerald green behind the small amount of black. A beast took the child's place and her front right claw dug up the reddened dirt. The men sat up and looked at the small dragon before them, laugh bellowed from all of them.

A deep growl split the air, "Laughing will only make you easier to kill."

~

The small dragon walked away from the burning flesh behind them. Silence filled the forest as the little dragon crashed onto the forest floor with a thud. The creatures of the forest looked at the beast before them in fear. The beast's eyes got bleary as tears dripped from the soft (eye color) eyes, "I'll protect them... I-I'll p-protect them..." The whimpers only stopped when the dragon passed out. The creatures didn't understand her claim much, all they knew was that the dragon would protect them.

~

Hunters ran away from the growling dragon that chased after them. 'They won't get away with this!' The dragon's thoughts screamed. The thud of her heavy claws only helped the men run faster. In front of the running hunters was a man with white hair and deep blue eyes. "My King you must run!" They yelled. Yet as the thuds got louder as the hunters ran in fear past their King, the King did not flinch.

The growling dragon stopped before the white haired male, a roar broke through her throat. A squeal followed farther away from the running hunters. The man's blue eyes widen, spotting the sparks of green under the small dragons eyes, "The lost art...You're... Alphonse and Dynasty's daughter..."

A snarl escaped the dragon's curled lip "Do not speak their names through your filthy lips!!"

"I'm sorry..." the man's soft voice and kind words shattered the boundary the girl tried to keep up from two years back.

Green magic smeared the air as the dragon became a little girl, who fell onto her knees with tears streaming down her face and sobs broke through hoarse vocal cords. Alfor smiled sadly as he pulled the small child into his lap and rubbed her back. "You're okay... You don't have to worry anymore."

"I've got you."

Even now, his voice, at least in memory, still reminds me of dad.
