We arrived at the lunch room and I automatically headed for our table not really watching where I was going. Until I bumped into what seemed like a wall and I fell to the ground.

“Patti” I hear a few people scream as the rush to my side, James helped me up before I can really calculate what’s going on.

“Patti are you ok” I hear James ask, I look at him with a dazed expression and nod. He sighs in relief; James has been like a big brother to me and never wants to see me get hurt, if only he knew what happened a few days ago.

“Hey buddy next time look where you’re going” James growls which knocks me out of my daze and to the person who knocked me over.

“Matt” I say in a soft tone, looking into his eyes. Wow he has the most amazing eyes ever.

“Hey, I’m sorry for running into you” he says shyly and I can’t help but blush a bit, I then see out of the corner of my eye James looking very confused, but before I could say anything he opens his big mouth.

“Wait Patti are you two together? Why didn’t you tell….” He blabbed on till I cut him off.

“James, we’re not together but we are going on a date tomorrow” I say shyly looking at him, James still looking between us cautiously. An awkward silence happening between us.

“Well I think we should head to our lunch table” James states and I nod just before I do my impulsivity get the best of me.

“Would you like to join us?” I ask instantly regretting it, oh my God what have I done? Girls never make the first move, this is a disaster….

“Yeah, sounds great” he reply’s knocking me out of my muddled up thinking and leaving me in shock of his answer. “I’ll be over soon, do you mind if I bring my friends over?” he asks sweetly.

“No not at all, see you soon” I say as I turn to head to my table to see everyone at the table staring at me.

“What” I ask abruptly, looking around the table, they all just look away and say nothing but have small smiles playing at their lips. I don’t understand what the big deal is, I asked a guy to sit with us, big whoop.

Not long after that Matt and his friends came and joined us. “Hey everyone this is Matt and some of his friends.” I say before turning towards Matt and his group “Well I’m patiance; these are my friends Paige, James, Chrissie, Chase, Corbin, Missy, Blake, Eric, Annie and George” I said pointing to each of my friends individually. Yes I have a big group 1) I am popular and 2) there are a few newys to our group not including Matt and his gang yet. Including Paige and George, yes he came and sat with us because of Paige cliché right but who am I to argue.

“Hey everyone, I’m Matt, this is my cousin Ivory and her boyfriend Fisher and these are my friend Cinnafinnick and Eve which I met yesterday” he says smiling at them both then looks at me with an award winning grin. Wow he is so gorgeous and I can’t take my eyes off him that was until someone coughs and I quickly get pulled out of my trance and sit down.

“Sit down anywhere you like” I say trying to hide the blush that was forming, they all sat down scattered amongst us with James and Matt on either side of me with Corbin sitting next to James then Chrissie, Missy, Eric, Blake, Ivory, Fisher, George, Paige, Eve then Matt. Yeah our group has a few people in it and only 3 couples at the moment; Ivory and Fisher, Paige and George, Missy and Eric. Maybe there will be a 4th couple, you never know.

The whole lunch went quite well Matt and I talked a bit I found out he likes rock especially ACDC  and Bon Jovi  he also likes action and horror movies, we also talked about are families and random things like that until the bell rang. We all scattered to our last classes of today, yeah we only have 4 classes a day but a lot of us have afterschool activities. Mum and dad made me sign up for at least 2 activities, which is totally unfair but I took it to my advantage and chose cheerleading because I know it would annoy my dad. Also I chose the musical coming up because I kind of like musicals and it was also the only other least magical thing on offer.

“I don’t trust him” James says abruptly as we sit in our next class, pulling me away from my thoughts. What is he talking about who doesn’t he trust, confusion overload.

“Huh” I say simply back at him looking really confused

“Matt, I don’t trust him” he tells me in a serious tone, whoa where is this coming from?

“What, why” I asked annoyed

“I just don’t” he snaps back, oh he was getting on my nerves

“Well I do and that is what matters” I snap back before standing up and storming off, but not before I teach him a lesson.

"Hey Matt" I say before planting a small kiss on his lips while grabbing his hand and pulling him with me.
