Chapter 11- I will protect you

Patiance's POV

Once we were all in the gym I look around to see who else is in the cheerleading team and see 10 other girls including Ivory and Cinnafinnick. The cheerleading coach blows her whistle and we stand in front of her 

"Hello girls welcome to cheerleading I'm Miss Trinity, now first things first we need a captain and I will let you girls decide with a vote so everyone just think of a name in your head and I will read it and tally the votes" she says happily, well that would make her a mind reader which is creepy I hate people reading my mind. But I still think of a name and I choose Ivory because she looks like the type of girl to take charge

"Ok girls can Patiance step forward you have been chosen" Miss Trinity says and I look shocked what, why me I mean I am popular but not a leader. I walk to the front and Miss Trinity comes up to me

"Well captain please choose a co-captain" she tells me and I immediately know who

"Ivory" I say loudly and she comes up beside me looking extremely happy. After that Miss Trinity told the girls to start practising and stretching while Ivory and I talk with the coach about practise and other stuff for the team for the whole hour when we finished all the girls were heading out and I saw my gorgeous boyfriend waiting for me at the door and I ran to him

"Hi babe" he says hugging me and I smile

"Hey how was practise" I ask

"Good there are very talented people in the team here" he reply's and I nod

"See ya Captain" I hear Ivory say and I wave to her

"Captain" Matt asks curiously

"Yeah somehow I got head cheer leader" I say still stunned

"Wow I got the head cheer leader as my girlfriend that is pretty sexy" he says smiling and I slap him

"Let's go and hang out" I say taking his hand. We walk down the halls casually talking but his mood suddenly changed

"Patti can I ask you a question" he asks cautiously and I nod

"I heard some things in practise about how you were attacked and they found you and Paige on the floor bleeding, what I am asking is what happened" he says his eyes full of worry but anger, I sigh and lead him into the deserted garden and sit him down.

"I was kind of hoping you wouldn't find out" I say truthfully

"Why" he says confused and I look at him

"Because I might put you in danger" I explain and he looks surprised but worried and I thought I scared him off

"Patti are you in danger" he asks and I nod

"We think so, Paige and I got attacked by a group of demons in golden gate park" I say looking straight ahead

"Why do you think they're after you" he asks

"Because he told me he will be back" I say rethinking that very moment and how he looked at me it was horrific

"How did you escape" he asks still trying to grasp everything, I sigh

"I had a potion in my bag to get me back to magic school in case of an emergency but by then we had been attacked to badly and we almost died" I say sadly, not at me almost dyeing but Paige she is innocent and has never put a foot wrong

"Don't worry they will never get near you or Paige while you are here and I will protect you and make sure they get no where near you" he says and I can tell he means it but the bad thing he can't get involved

"No you wont if they attack I will make sure no one gets hurt especially you and Paige" I retort

"I know we haven't known each other long but somehow I feel like I have to protect you I don't why" he says truthfully and I look at him and kiss him and nod telling him I feel the same. We sit there for a while in a comfortable silence and I decide to try and hear what he's thinking, I concentrate closely

'How could a girl go through so much still be willing to risk her life instead of others, she is truly one of a kind' he thinks and I blush wow he really cares about me and I care about him to

"Hey do you want to get some dinner" Matt asks and I nod and we walk towards a table around the school. We sit down and I see Paige and George walking towards us. I get up and run over and hug her I haven't seen her for a few hours it's a long time

"Patti, how was the rest of your day" she ask with caution because of the whole James thing

"I'm fine I got head cheer leader and I told Matt about what has happened" I say and she looks at me shocked

"You told him about the power stripping potion" she asks and I shake my head

"No and please don't tell him. I was talking about with the demons" I say and she nods understanding

"Hey do you want to have dinner with us" I say changing the subject and she nods and we sit down while the boys gets us food.

"Can you believe that in only a week or so that this has all happened" I say

"No and I am actually happy it has, not that we almost died but that I got to come here and be a normal magical teenager with nice clothes a boyfriend and my best friend" she explains excitably and I chuckle she was right we have had a pretty awesome time but I have a bad feeling it wont last.
