Chapter

Paige’s POV

Oh my gosh, I’m at magic school and I get to go to a party, Leo said it was a celebration but Patiance told me it’s just a fancy word for party, this is turning out to be the best day ever besides from almost dyeing, that was a bit of a downer but that’s all in the past now. Walking down the corridor towards the great hall, arms linked with Patiance I could not be more excited which you could probably tell just by looking at me, but I couldn’t help it, you don’t know how long I’ve wanted to come to magic school or go to a party with dancing, junk food, boys and my best friend this is going to be off the chain.

“Here we are, are you ready?” Patiance said as we stood in front of some brown doors, I shook my head eagerly; Patiance laughed and opened the doors.

As soon as the door flew open, I saw it was dark and loud with Laser lights going all around and floating dim lights on the celling, there were a few tables scattered around the place. Patiance led me inside to where people were dancing, singing and having a great time. I saw an empty chair and pulled Patiance over and we sat down and laughed.

We sat and talked until Patiance finally pulled me to my feet and started dancing, I wasn’t afraid so I quickly started jumping around the dance floor, probably looking like a bit of an idoit but I didn’t care. We kept dancing until Patiance tugged onto my arm “Paige can we sit down for a minute” I nodded and followed her towards some seats giggling to myself.

“This is so fun” I said as we sat down, we both laughed until we got interrupted by someone who looked like a guy.

“Excuse me” we turned around to see Matt, the cute guy we saw Leo showing around this morning.

“Would you like to dance” he says looking at Patiance, this is so cute. She looked at me for a minute with an unsure look, I think it’s about leaving me but she doesn’t need to worry about me, I am a big girl, not mentally but that’s not the point.

“Go on, I’ll be fine” she smiles at me, giving me a hug before going with Matt. I sat there for a while watching them, they looked cute, her with curly blonde hair, blue eyes and kind of tall and him with his straight black hair, tats, black eyes and just a bit taller than her.

A slow song came on and they started to move closer and she put her head on his shoulder, it was again one of cute moments. Than someone interrupted my thoughts, I jumped a little and looked to see another guy standing in front of me; he had short brown hair, brown eyes and seemed reasonably well built.

“Well you kind of lonely over here, would you like to dance?” He says while holding out his hand, I couldn’t resist, hell I didn’t want to resist. I willingly took his hand and he led me to a deserted place on the dance floor, it was still on the slow song, he wrapped his arms around my waist I wrapped my arms around his neck. I didn’t know what I was doing because I have never danced with a guy before, so I just winged it.

“I haven’t seen you around before” he whispered into my ear, I looked at him and blushed a little.

“Yeah, I am new here” he moves his head so our eyes meet my blush gets even bigger, he just looks at me with his black eyes, they are so dark and mysterious.

“I was guessing because I would never forget a face like yours” he says smiling, I can’t help but giggle a little, wow this guy really knows what to say to a girl, I didn’t know what to say though.

“What is your name? I’m George, but most people call me Tom because my last name is Thomas and its sounds a bit better than George.” He tells me smoothly.

“I’m Paige; it’s nice to meet you Geo... I mean Tom”

Our eyes still locked on each other’s, until we hear “Everybody this is the last song of the night”, I groan I don’t want this night to end.

“Why did you come to magic school” he asked me curiously, how do I answer that without scaring him but I can’t tell him a lie I suck at lying.

“Um… It’s a long story”, I say nervously, hoping that he wouldn’t want to know more but also hoping he just doesn’t leave.

“I would like to hear it but looks like we have to leave soon, how about you and I go to dinner one night and we can talk about?” Um I am not completely sure but is he asking me out on like a date, but more importantly what do I say.

Suddenly the music stops and everyone starts to leave, he needs an answer what do I tell him, I look over and see Patiance coming my way.

“Sounds cool, I mean great, but I can’t leave the school” Wow embarrassing but he chuckles at me, good job Paige.

“Ok, meet me tomorrow night at block E, see you then” he says and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

“Someone had a good time” Patiance says sneaking up behind me, giggling I look at her with a glint in my eye.

“Well I’m not the only one” looking at Matt who stood behind her, she blushed a bit.

“Shut up, so what was happening over here, with you and George?” she looked at me, wanting to know all the gossip like she normally does. She knows him, wait of course she knows him they both go to school her duh.

“Not much, except he asked me to dinner tomorrow night” she looked at me amazed, and it looked like she wanted to jump up and down in excitement.

“What, OMG do you know how many girls want him, but who could resist you” she laughs at me, while I start to blush. Wow he must be very popular well with a body like his how could he not be.

“Hey, but what about you and Matt” I say saucily, she looks at me.

“I don’t think I like your tone, but nothing hap…” Before she could finish we got interrupted again, she suddenly got turned and hit smack bang on the lips. OMG Matt had just pashed Patiance wow this boy does not take things slow. He finally released leaving a stunned look on Patiance’s and my face.

“Patiance, would you like to go out with me, sometime” Matt came in at just the right time, I could see the shock on her face, say yes, please say yes, how could you not after that.

“Ok, but not tomorrow” she told him, why not tomorrow does she have something planned.

“How about this weekend” he says hopingly

“Can’t wait” she says with a bit of a giggle, he smiles and leaves us in shock.

“You were saying” I said mockingly, she gave me a glare and I glared back.

“Come on Paige, let’s go to bed we start school tomorrow” she linked my arm with a big smile on her face.
