(Y/N) POV
???: *faintly* The hell's taking so long? He's alive, isn't he?
???2: *faintly* Yes... but... something is wrong...
You stirred around in your sleep, faintly hearing voices around you.
???2: *faintly* That semblance of your brother... it's... weakened his aura.
Jack: *faintly* But... it's still viable?
???2: *faintly* Of course. For now, he'll notice little to no difference in his daily activities or regular fights...
Jack: *faintly* But?
???2: *faintly* That attack... whatever that was... it wore down the very structure of his aura permanently. As if it reshaped itself around his arm to bolster the attack, and protect him at the same time. Without realising it, he sacrificed a part of his aura for that explosion. If he does a stupid stunt like that again... nothing would stop him from losing a limb or two.
Jack: *faintly* No... not again...
???2: *faintly* I'm... so sorry.
Suddenly, the voices faded, as silence fell upon you once again.
Timeskip
Suddenly, you woke up, gasping for air. As you quickly looked around the room you were in, the familiar wooden walls and windows leading to forests meant only one thing. You were in Patch.
As you took a second to breath, you then quietly called out.
(Y/N): Summer?
Suddenly, you felt someone hug you from beside you. Sitting on the bed was Summer.
Summer: You're okay...
(Y/N): Somehow. What... happened when I was out? How long has it been?
Summer: A week. Since... that fight, you got put in a hospital while you were out. Everyday, Jack and Ana would check in on you, alongside a few other people, but... when Jack visited alone one day, he learned that... something's... wrong with your aura.
(Y/N): It's weakened. I overheard in my sleep.
Summer: I... I'm sorry you had to go through all that.
She then tightens the hug around you. But you had another question burning in your mind.
(Y/N): Where... is everyone?
Summer then breaks the hug, before looking into your eyes.
Summer: Jack... from what I overheard, he's out visiting Jaune, Ren and Nora. They're staying in Vale until further notice.
(Y/N): But what about Pyrrha, and Ana, and Ruby!
Summer: Ana is downstairs. Ruby... she hasn't woken up yet. And...
She suddenly fell silent.
(Y/N): Summer? Is Pyrrha okay?
Summer: Do you remember what happened to her that night?
